On 2 November, BSF jawans of the 49th Battalion came under a violent attack in the Ashabari area of Boxanagar (Sepahijala district), close to the India-Bangladesh border.
The personnel were targeted while disrupting suspected cross-border smuggling. Assailants used iron rods, bamboo sticks and stones, injured multiple jawans (including an Assistant Commandant), briefly snatched a service weapon, and vandalised a BSF vehicle.
Police have now arrested 8 more people, taking the total number of arrests to 18. The case is registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the NDPS Act. Accused have been produced in court and further investigation is underway.
CM Manik Saha has made it clear that violence against security forces will not be tolerated and has directed strict legal action against all involved. The crackdown continues to keep the sensitive border belt free of such criminal activity.

In the Chandpara-Dhakuria area of Gaighata, West Bengal, a romantic relationship between a Muslim man and a Hindu woman came to light. The man's family was aware of the situation, and it was also noted by neighbors that the woman frequently visited their home.
Attempts had been made on several previous occasions to counsel the man regarding this matter.
As these efforts did not lead to a resolution, members of the Hindu Jagaran Manch visited the man's residence and spoke with his family members.
During the interaction, the members of the Hindu Jagaran Manch expressed their concerns and objections, issuing a formal caution to the family.
They articulated their perspective, highlighting the concerns surrounding relationships between individuals from different communities, and emphasized the importance of mutual consent, safety, mutual respect, and consultation with families in such situations.
The objective of this initiative by the Hindu Jagaran Manch was to voice their concerns and caution the family involved.
West Bengal is raising the bar in higher & technical education.
After statewide inspections, 393 B.Ed. colleges cleared for 2026–28 session, while 205 get time to upgrade.
Admissions paused in sub-standard ITIs, Pharmacy and Polytechnic institutes.
Not de-affiliation — just accountability.
Degrees must mean real competence.
For years, West Bengal has been known for its rich educational legacy. We are committed to restoring that lost glory and ensuring that our children receive the quality education they deserve.
As part of this commitment, the Higher Education & Technical Education Department conducted inspections of B.Ed., ITI, Pharmacy and Polytechnic colleges across the state to assess their infrastructure and academic standards.
Here is where it stand:
👉B.Ed.: 393 colleges cleared for the 2026–28 session (156 in Round 1 and 237 in Round 2), while 205 have been given time to upgrade their infrastructure.
👉ITI: Admissions paused in 14 out of 265 institutes due to inadequate basic facilities.
👉Pharmacy: Admissions paused in 38 out of 134 institutes.
👉Polytechnic: Admissions paused in 1 out of 74 institutes.
Our objective is not to de-affiliate anyone. It is to ensure that every institution meets the standards our students deserve. Once these institutions upgrade their infrastructure and faculty, they are welcome back next session.
We cannot build West Bengal’s future by compromising on the education of our children.
Our commitment is clear: restore the pride of West Bengal’s educational institutions, raise academic standards and make quality education accessible to every student.
Because a degree must represent knowledge, competence and opportunity, not merely a piece of paper for sale.

Around 400 Adivasi (ST) families — mostly farmers who lived by kerosene lamps — will celebrate Diwali with power for the first time. Meters are being installed; BPL households get free connections.
Over 100 homes are being electrified, with 50 already fitted.
The wait ends. The lights come on.

CM Suvendu Adhikari says preliminary talks are on with Ashok Leyland for a possible heavy vehicle plant on the old Nano site.
Details still vague: no clarity yet on project size, land required or jobs. But the signal is clear — Bengal wants industry to return to Singur, this time without the old controversies.

The district administration has launched a land verification and demarcation exercise near the Ashabari Border Outpost. Joint teams of BSF personnel, police, and revenue officials (including Revenue Inspectors and Tehsildars) are visiting homes and shops to examine ownership documents and identify land boundaries.
Preliminary assessments indicate that some structures may lack proper land deeds or stand on government land. The drive forms part of efforts to address alleged illegal occupation in this sensitive India-Bangladesh border area and strengthen security. Verification is currently underway.
A new era of industrial growth begins in West Bengal.

Wishing a very Happy Birthday to Shri Samik Bhattacharya, President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) West Bengal, Rajya Sabha MP, former MLA, and one of the most articulate and fearless voices in Bengal’s politics.
A leader with deep organisational roots, he was elected unopposed as the West Bengal BJP President in July 2025.
Under his leadership, the party achieved a historic breakthrough in the 2026 Assembly elections, securing a decisive majority and forming the government for the first time in the state after ending 15 years of Trinamool Congress rule. His ability to unite the organisation, connect with urban and traditional voters, and provide clear, fact-based communication played a crucial role in this historic victory.
As a Rajya Sabha member since 2024 and a member of the Standing Committee on Home Affairs, he has consistently raised Bengal’s issues at the national level with sharp oratory and conviction. Known for his calm yet combative style, he continues to strengthen the party organisation while firmly representing the people’s voice.
On this special day, we extend our heartfelt wishes to him.
May he continue to serve the people of West Bengal and the nation with the same passion, courage, and clarity, and may the year ahead bring him good health, strength, and greater success.
Shubho Janmodin, Samik Bhattacharya Dada🎂🎉

A Muslim man from West Bengal has given a fitting reply to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, the CPIM, and the INDI Alliance.
“What is the INDIA alliance?
There is nothing called INDIA alliance in India. It is a terr0rist alliance.
They are trying to spread terr0rism in the country.
CPM is a China product, Sonia Gandhi & Rahul Gandhi are Italy products, Mamata Banerjee & Abhishek Banerjee are Bangladesh products. No need to talk about these foreign products.”
Attended a wonderful Bijoya Sammilani at Hotel AltAir, Kolkata in the presence of our CM Shri Suvendu Adhikari and State President Shri Samik Bhattacharya.
Heartfelt gratitude to the state BJP leadership and Social Media Department, especially convener Shri Upamanyu Bhattacharya , for organising such a warm and memorable evening, and for recognising the digital warriors who stood against TMC online and continue to work tirelessly for a BJP government in West Bengal.
Truly appreciated. 🙏

After the three-day RSS meeting in Indore, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale Ji briefed the media on the extensive seva work carried out by swayamsevaks during the recent floods.
In Upper Assam (Sivasagar & Jorhat districts), heavy rains in May-June caused unprecedented flooding — an area that normally does not face such severe floods.
- 805 villages affected
- 67,700 families impacted
- More than 1,500 houses completely destroyed
Over 1,600 RSS volunteers immediately reached 42,200 families with food, drinking water, medicines and other essentials. In several remote areas where other agencies could not reach, swayamsevaks worked alone.
In coordination with local society, social organisations and religious institutions, more than ₹5 crore was mobilised for relief. Reconstruction of nearly 150 houses has already begun with material support, and rehabilitation work is continuing.
Similar relief efforts were also undertaken in cyclone-hit districts of Odisha (Kandhamal, Ganjam) and Andhra Pradesh (Srikakulam).
Service continues.
A plot for religious conversion has come to light in Malda, West Bengal. Local residents have revealed the sordid tactics used in these conversion attempts.
Members of marginalized communities were being subjected to indoctrination, allegedly funded by foreign money.
A conversion racket was operating at Gola More in Harishchandrapur, Malda district, West Bengal—where Hindus were being converted in exchange for money.
It is alleged that 40 families from the area have already been converted.
When Sanatani Hindus raised their voices in protest, they were attacked by missionaries.
Five members of the Bajrang Dal sustained injuries in the assault.
The Harishchandrapur police have initiated an investigation into the incident.

"Those who are 'kafirs'—they live in fear"—this is what Mamata Banerjee officially stated today in Delhi, from the platform of the 'INDI' alliance.👇🏻
Before the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, Mamata Banerjee had made remarks regarding 'kafirs'—and she ended up losing...✅
Today, she is once again bringing up this 'kafir' narrative...🚫
It is not about 'vote theft' or 'SIR' (a reference to a specific political context/allegation); rather, their objective is to 'appease' Muslims while using the term 'kafir' to instill fear in Hindus like us.
The Hindus of Bengal demonstrated their strength in '26—now, the Hindus of the entire nation will demonstrate their strength in '29...✊🏻🚩

The atrocities at 'Sain Bari', the murder of Ananda Marga nuns, and the incident where a mother was forced to eat rice stained with her own son's blood!!
A regime of dictatorship, oppression, murder, and terror prevailed across West Bengal.
This video serves as a stark example of that—
“1999 under CPI(M)’s 34-year rule in West Bengal: Sheikh Hasanat Ali from keshpur says Left Front Harmads abducted him and chopped off both his hands.
The injury left him permanently disabled. This is the face of the ‘red terror’ that CPI(M) now wants everyone to forget.”
“This government cannot be removed. The work it has done for the people — no one can topple it.
Our country is rising, India’s name is growing stronger. Even abroad, people see Narendra Modi has become a global name.
Out of fear of that name, Congress is doing all kinds of upside-down politics. A small fragmented gang is trying to insult the Prime Minister of India — an elderly leader of the nation.
Leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi have no shame left. They have completely stooped to the lowest level.”

Savage reply to Abhishek Banerjee .
Kudos @KhanSaumitra Dada. 👍
In Jibantala, West Bengal, a young Hindu tribal man named Shankar Sardar has been murdered !!
The incident took place at a *ghugni* (pea curry) stall in Bhaven Hat Khola, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Jibantala Police Station.
Three days ago, some youths from a minority community parked their motorcycles in front of his stall, leading to an argument. Subsequently, a group of individuals from that community abducted the young man.
When his family approached the Jibantala Police Station, the police refused to listen to them. This morning, the young man’s body was discovered.
We urge Chief Minister Shri Suvendu Adhikari—given that this is a government of *Sanatani* (traditional) Hindus—to address this situation, as the current plight of Hindus under this administration is by no means acceptable.
We request that the perpetrators be subjected to such severe punishment that others would think twice—and live in fear—before attempting anything similar.
Close to power in the Left era, a minister in the TMC era — now arrested in the Durga Puja pass scam.
Alleged sale of preview & VIP entry passes (2022-2025), ED raid on Sept 29, arrest on Oct 28.
Complainant says he couldn't file an FIR under TMC rule, did so only in June at Bowbazar PS after the govt changed.
Why was he silent then?
Where was the administration?
Durga Puja is Bengal's pride, not anyone's business.
Impartial probe now. Truth must come out.
Which party is actually the most Bengali — CPM, TMC or BJP?
Judge by their slogans and who coined them:
CPM:
“Inquilab Zindabad” — coined by co-founder Syed Fazlul Hasan. He rejected the original Two-Nation Theory, then proposed a “Six Nation Formula” to break India into six pieces.
TMC:
• “Joy Bangla” — originally Nazrul, but weaponised by Sheikh Mujib during Bangladesh’s 1971 war.
• “khela hobe” — by Bangladeshi poet Shamsur Rahman.
• “Ma Mati Manush” — claimed by Mamata in 2009, but first used by Khaleda Zia in a 1991 rally.
BJP: Founded by Bengali Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
• “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” — first used by Kiran Chattopadhyay in his 1873 play.
• “Vande Mataram” — Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay.
• “Jai Hind” — Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
One party’s slogans are rooted in Bengali freedom fighters and nationalists.
The other two lean heavily on Bangladesh-era and communist-era rhetoric. The difference is not subtle.
