Denmark spent decades building nearly 5,000 wind turbines Together, they produced 21.6 TWh in the last 12 months One nuclear plant in Sweden made 23.3 TWh Oh, and nuclear runs 24/7 — wind doesn’t There's one big reason Denmark has some of the most expensive electricity in the world transparency.entsoe.eu/gener… api.energidataservice.dk/dat… eia.gov/electricity/monthly/… iaea.org/publications/16059
Fun fact: Sweden has four nuclear reactors that have each generated more electricity than all Danish wind turbines ever. Forsmark 3 and Oskarshamn 3 started in 1985, the year Denmark banned nuclear. Both still ahead of Denmark’s entire wind fleet.

This European politician spent most of his political career making energy in the EU among the costliest in the world And now, to prevent people from turning to populists and extremists (not voting for him) — he's finally focused on making energy cheap theguardian.com/world/live/2…

🔴 | BREAKING: Parliament calls for the Muslim Brotherhood to be added to the EU terrorist list. A massive victory for our hard work! Today, 381 MEPs voted in favour of calling the Muslim Brotherhood and its proxies what they truly are: terrorist organisations. The goal: no funding, no collaboration and no more Muslim Brotherhood entryism in European institutions and Member States. Now the Council must act.

🇫🇷 Mass riots are continuing in France More than 400 schools are fully closed today over damage and threats to staff. Pupils have been moved to remote learning. Despite bans on gatherings outside closed lycées, protests and clashes with police have been running since morning in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Rennes, and other cities. Lyon is one of the tensest spots. In Paris this morning, fire damaged the entrances of at least two lycées. In Aubervilliers, a group of young people tried to force the gates of a lycée. Police responded with a large amount of tear gas. The worst violence on the previous day was in Marseille. A young man with his face covered set an aerosol spray alight and aimed the flame at a woman’s face. She was burned. The same day, several hundred young people surrounded a fire truck at Lycée Saint-Exupéry. Firefighters had to abandon it. The vehicle was looted and set on fire. Unknown attackers also surrounded an M6 journalist, beat him, and smashed his camera with a hammer. In Manosque, protesters reached city hall. On October 1 a pyrotechnic round flew into the building, hit an upper-floor office, and started a fire. Strasbourg shut down its entire tram network, officially to limit rioters’ movement. Clashes with police resumed there today. The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region alone puts preliminary damage to schools, grounds, and attacked vehicles at €25–30 million. Since the protests began, 65 education staff have been hurt, including 40 school directors, along with 170 pupils.

Swedish election result in 2026 if only Swedes and European migrants would have voted: The right - 181 seats The left - 168 seats Actual Swedish election result The right - 173 seats The left - 176 seats The left wouldn’t have won the the election without non-Europeans

Austria’s government is moving toward a constitutional ban on “political Islam,” with Chancellor Christian Stocker arguing that religion cannot be used to pursue political goals that challenge the democratic state. Integration Minister Claudia Bauer is now drafting the proposal, which is expected to include broader changes to laws governing religious groups and associations. Bauer called political Islam the “greatest danger of our time,” saying its organizations seek to place their ideology above the democratic rule of law, reshape society and restrict the freedom of women and girls. The wider crackdown also includes Austria’s new Islamic headscarf ban for girls under 14 in schools and scrutiny of deradicalization programs. The Justice Ministry has ended cooperation with the Derad deradicalization organization after an assessment identified people associated with it as having links to Muslim Brotherhood ideology. With its two HQs in London and Istanbul, as well as its state sponsors in Doha, Qatar, the Muslim Brotherhood has been spreading Islamism and violence across the West, Africa, and the Middle East. The Muslim Brotherhood is banned in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt.
