Microsoft has confirmed that my account was compromised. Yet because the attacker changed the alias/security information, the solution was to permanently suspend my account. That means losing access to my OneDrive files, an unbacked-up game project I’m developing, important personal documents, Microsoft Flight Simulator purchases, hundreds of hours of Forza progress, Minecraft, and several remaining years of Microsoft 365 Family. I was the victim of the account takeover. Why should the consequence be permanently losing everything attached to the account? @microsoftnl @MicrosoftHelps @MicrosoftHelpt @Microsoft #microsoft #hacked
