Periodic reminder that protecting your nation is a Christian virtue and right, and was understood as such for all of Christian history. We are made in the image of God. We are not one nation. There is a hierarchy of obligations within Christianity. God, family, neighbours, nation, Christendom, the world. You still help the injured man by the side of the road. You don't throw your children out of your home and give it to him, though.

Why would young British men die fighting for a government that is trying to replace and disenfranchise them? Also, Rees-Mogg is speaking with the cadence of a cartoon villain.
Few of my former Tory colleagues appall me as much as Jacob Rees-Mogg former MP for North East Somerset. Today he tells us that it’s our duty to go to war and fight against whoever our Government tell us. War is when the Government orders you to fight its enemies. Revolution is when you realise your Government is the enemy. FYI Jacob’s first employment was at Rothchilds Investment Management. I believe Jacob is a Quockerwodger. Let me know your thoughts in the comments

News🇬🇧🔥🇷🇺: "Over the next few years we may have to go to war, some of you may die? but this is about doing your DUTY". Watch as @Jacob_Rees_Mogg goes into new levels of pomposity rarely seen in British politics, since Lord Kitchener pointed at British men and cried "Your country Needs You". Mogg demands and expects that most white working class Brits go 'over the top' for a King and Government who treat them with sheer contempt. Under JRM's best friend and fellow bumchum at Eton, Boris Johnson, the UK was intentionally flooded with around 5 million Islamist loving migrants and African former military, blighting the nation for decades to come perhaps forever. Sir Jacob gushes over King Charles III, who is more interested in the "wisdom of Islam", than speaking out against the planned invasion of our/his Kingdom. This former Tory MP is laying the table for the UK and Europe being involved in a full-scale war with Russia. He demands that you and your sons head over into the meat grinder to satisfy his sense of "duty". Going into the slaughterhouse of Ukraine, where perhaps over 1 million white Christian men have died, is not the Falklands, or any form of conflict which threats British sovereignty under the Thomas Aquinas Just War Theory. The Thomas Aquinas war in his work 'Summa Theologiae', arguing that war is not always a sin if it meets strict moral criteria. Ukraine is a proxy war for EU expansion and theft, by an institution which has destroyed Europe via 'net-zero, mass immigration and super demonic DEI diktats. Tell me @Jacob_Rees_Mogg, when will you and yours be popping of into the Zelensky/EU/NATO killing machine to satisfy your deities and quench your thirst for patriotic blood, by a King and government who abandoned indigenous Brits decades ago?

‘I don't want a revolution, I've got 20-odd town centre properties that'll have their windows put in...’ Is this genuinely the worst boomerism of all time? That’s hilarious, I fucking hate these people
June Slater sums up what people call "the boomer mindset" perfectly. She slags off "young podcasters" (The Lotus Eaters) for wanting a political revolution. Why? Well...

It would be so ridiculously easy to make modern-day Chud version of “Taming of the Shrew”. Pitch: “Sensitive young Zoomer sci-if writer employs his Chad Evola-reading gym-bro roommate to seduce a borderline feminist blogger to stop her from sabotaging his attempts to woo her sister. Typical romantic-comedy hijinks ensue. Comic relief would provided by parody versions of podcasters like Hasan Piker, Nick Fuentes, and Alex Cooper. There would be a slapstick number on the set of the “Whatever” podcast where the gym Chad has try to not to fight back against a mob of incredibly overweight trans women because one of them (he can’t tell which) is actually female. The story would be narrated by a Hobo played by Sam Hyde who would breaks up the scenes with exposition and sage wisdom about how to “make it” in the modern world. The finale would involve the hero hurling the heroine’s iphone straight into the ocean before proposing to her.” This film could be so funny, sexy, and maybe even romantic. If it succeeded it would measurably increase the birth rate. Which is, of course, why no one will ever make it.

The Conservative (especially Cold War Conservative) argument about history and government basically looks something like this: “Franco and Stalin were both dictators who concentrated political power in themselves and silenced anyone who disagreed with them in the process. And against this, the only non-totalitarian alternative is a constitutional liberal democracy with checks and balances and a comprehensive list of individual rights.” You can really substitute “Franco and Stalin” here for basically any form of government that existed prior to the American Revolution, or at least the Glorious Revolution of 1688. I’ve seen some classical liberals make exactly this argument. Charlemagne, William the Conqueror, and Justinian were all Woke Right. And as stupid as this sounds, there is an underlying premise here. The assumption is that the most important question is how power is stricter or divided up. The concentration of power is therefore evil in the mind of the modern Conservative. Whether that power is exercised for Marxism or against it doesn’t really matter. Unchecked executive power, the Hobbesian Leviathan, the Schmittian sovereign who decides on the exception, it’s always evil. It’s the principle thing these people wage eternal war against, even more than Marxism itself. But the Conservative is wrong. And he is wrong because he has constructed a world where power can be permanently destroyed. It can’t. Every political order ultimately rests on someone possessing the authority to decide in the exceptional case. Liberal constitutions have never once eliminated the concept of sovereignty. Just ask Abraham Lincoln and FDR. What liberal democracy does is merely disguise sovereignty until it steps back on stage the moment it’s needed to sort out a crisis. But even absent a civil war or a depression, it doesn’t vanish. It’s just usually possessed by the least accountable and unelected aspects of the Federal government, the courts and the bureaucracy. What that means is there has never been a state in history that doesn’t possess absolute power. It’s just that this absolute power is typically never wielded on a daily basis. The question is not whether someone or something will concentrate power. The question is who or what is concentration power, and towards what ends?

You understand this will lead to some who do earnestly try to engage with you thinking you don't have compelling answers and it can come across as a abuse of the authority the Church has given you? Not that you have to respond to everyone...

I don't deny the Apostles warning of Apostasy but it is not universal and nor can it overcome the faithful who remained. The Gnostics were one such group that was overcome then the Arians along with others. But are you willing to address whether the apostasy was universal?

In response to your other deleted post. If Christians by accepting creeds are apostates then they are not faithful even if they are sincere. Especially since they are all apparently evil murderers of the true faithful. Were there any faithful post Nicaea and Constantinople?

All due respect I’ll call you LDS at my own discretion. I’m Roman Catholic so I don’t believe you are saints, so you are asking me to lie. But mostly I won’t because it doesn’t actually do you any favors. It’s like the N word. It’s only effective if it hurts feelings. You disarm it when you make it your own. It’s the rhetorical “turn the other cheek.” I get called papist, Romanist, Mary worshipper, etc, so I’ll even call myself those things. They’re words that don’t bother me. I know what I am. I don’t need other people validating me with the right titles. When I pre-empt them I am telling them “there’s no pride to be found here, sorry to disappoint,” and indeed it does disappoint. Not sure what your religion teaches but there’s tremendous advantage in being able to make fun of yourself. It’s a form of humility, the way I see it. So Mormon it has to be my friend.

Pro tip. Call us Latter-Day Saints and you'll find more of us to talk to. A lot of us have muted the keyword Mormon in the last few days because it's not a word we used to describe ourselves, and most posts that use it are from people who hate us.

Since I'm prevented from replying I'll post this here. Yes a natural hierarchy should exist for those who have been tested and come out resisting sin. We shouldn't seek to bring others down to our level. This also doesn't deny all of us needing Christ and his redemption.

The LDS Church just released a new image from inside the Salt Lake Temple showing what Mormons call the “Holy of Holies,” a room rarely seen publicly. For many Christians, this may sound ancient, biblical, even familiar at first. But once you look closer, the differences become enormous. In the Old Testament, the Holy of Holies was the innermost sanctuary of the Temple in Jerusalem, where the Ark of the Covenant rested and where the high priest entered only once a year on the Day of Atonement. But Christians believe that with the death of Christ, the veil of the Temple was torn in two. (Matthew 27:51) Why? Because Jesus Christ Himself became our eternal High Priest. The old shadows were fulfilled in Him. Christianity never taught that a modern prophet would preside over a new earthly Holy of Holies where he would seek divine guidance for the Church. Now yes, Christianity absolutely retained sacred spaces. In the East, the sanctuary behind the iconostasis is often called the Holy Altar, and its imagery intentionally echoes the heavenly Temple. In the West, the sanctuary around the altar has always been treated with profound reverence. Churches were consecrated. Altars were kissed. Lamps burned before the Eucharist. Heaven and earth met there sacramentally. But Christianity did not rebuild the Temple system of the Old Covenant. That is the key difference. The Mormon temple is not simply a church building with solemn liturgy. It is part of an entirely different theological system involving secret rites, priesthood levels, celestial exaltation, proxy ordinances for the dead, and ongoing prophetic authority that fundamentally reshapes biblical Christianity itself. And this newly discussed “Holy of Holies” reflects that worldview perfectly. According to Mormon sources, the room is reserved primarily for the president of the LDS Church, who enters it to pray and seek divine guidance. For Christians, this raises a serious question: If Christ opened the way into the true Holy of Holies once and for all, why would the Church need a new earthly inner sanctuary reserved for a modern prophet? “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands… but into heaven itself.” (Hebrews 9:24) That is the Christian claim. And it changes everything.

One aspect of the LDS theory of a great Apostasy rarely explored is how Mormons believe their Gospel was unsuitable for any other time besides in America. Mormonism, according to LDS, literally could not survive Rome or the Middle ages. The world was stronger.

A message for Reform members. I believe that you are good, decent, honest people who want the best for our country. I campaigned alongside many of you, I considered many of you friends. I still do. But after hearing Farage’s attacks on me today? I simply do not believe that supporting the current Reform leadership is why you got into politics. A party of Robert Jenrick - a man who has a track record of importing endless Afghans, spreading illegals around the country and expanding our vile migrant hotel industry. A party of Nadhim Zahawi - someone who wanted to force that COVID vaccine on the healthy population against their will. He wanted to allow children to overrule their parents to get the jab. He proposed an illegal migrant amnesty, supported BLM, he argued that immigration is positive because it means Somalians in Britain can send money back to Somalia. Really? Do you really want to campaign to put these people back into Government? The same people who decimated our country and ground it into dust? Along with the dozens of other failed Conservative MPs now wearing a turquoise rosette? And Farage himself. I once thought he was the man to lead us. I honestly did. And then the Reform leadership tried to put me in prison. I would be there today if they had their way. Rotting away, possibly dead thanks to the Muslim gangs that now run our jails. Why did they do it? He just admitted today that it was because I wanted to deport foreign rape gang members and their complicit family members. Not for the supposed crime, but for that. They abused the justice system to imprison me because I wanted the mass deportation of animalistic savages who gang-raped young girls, and those who enabled it. They tried to ruin my life because I advocated for that. To take me away from my family, my wife, my children, my grandchildren. Because I spoke of those deportations. My family home was raided by armed police at 9pm on a Friday night because of what they did. Do you trust these people? Honestly? If you agree with those actions, then Reform is the party for you. If you want to build a better party, an honourable party, a decent party? You now have a genuine alternative in Restore Britain. We will not get everything right, mistakes will be made. But I will promise you one thing. We will be honest, and we will do this honestly. You are all very welcome to follow many friends, colleagues and councillors in your party who have made that choice already.
