Appreciate all the replies. Lots of feedback to sift through, and it's exciting to see people care this much about the plugin experience! Having my dot monitor the replies and help me triage. Keep it coming! Some highlights: - sorting and discoverability - broken bits like icons and @ autocomplete - clearer syncing across platforms and computers - permissions that actually stick - more tools and connection options
Get in your feedback on how to make the @ChatGPT app better! If you’re using plugins in the app, tell me: - How can we make the experience simpler? - Where are the bugs? - What are the paper cuts that just build up til you rage quit?

hi all, two things: 1. usage limits are back to being double – your feedback worked 2. we today kicked off an intense sprint to dramatically improve the app simplicity and performance. i will oversee this. more to come. now, send me your complaints

No one likes the toggle till it disappears. It's such a simple piece of UI, but it holds so much power. Too many and the product feels disjointed. Users have to make decisions they shouldn't have to, and if they pick wrong, they could get a worse experience. But removing one isn't simple either. A single toggle can have a dozen things depending on it, and if you don't handle them properly, no toggle could be worse than a bad one. Such a small component. So much power.

This team keeps delivering 🔌 Now all those events I accidentally put in my iCloud calendar instead of Google Calendar won't be lost forever 🫠 What's the #1 plugin still missing from your setup?
Much requested, and now yours to connect: iCloud Mail and Calendar plugins are available in ChatGPT. Ask ChatGPT to find that email, catch up on your inbox, check what’s next, or update a calendar event. Phew. Available on all ChatGPT plans on web, desktop, and iOS.

Why is my feed suddenly flooded with "Let's connect" posts? Am I missing something? Should I be jumping on the bandwagon? Before it's too late, looking to connect with people into: 🔌 Plugins and MCPs 🧑‍🎨 AI UX that actually feels simple ❌ Deleting unnecessary toggles 😕 Being confused by internet trends Let's connect!

Powered by Plugin Extensions, CapCut is bringing video editing right into ChatGPT. Only a month since Plugin Extensions was announced at @OpenAI Dev Day, but we're seeing so many amazing use cases! 🔌
We’re excited to announce our new CapCut plugin is coming soon to @ChatGPT at CapCutWorldLA. The plugin brings CapCut's video editing and generation tools alongside ChatGPT. You can start with an idea in ChatGPT, bring it to life with the CapCut plugin right inside ChatGPT, then take your draft video to CapCut's web editor to refine, share and publish. By bringing the CapCut product you already love and use in ChatGPT, we're making content creation more seamless and efficient.

I've been sleeping on the Finances plugin in ChatGPT. Just saved $182/month. Thought I was pretty conscious of my subscriptions, but I was paying Adobe twice, had some completely unused subs, and a bunch of hidden Apple App Store subscriptions. Linked up my credit card to check what benefits I wasn't using and audited my streaming subs too: Paramount+ → free via card perk Apple TV+ → bundled into Peacock YouTube TV → downgraded to just sports Free money. It did claim I spend too much on Amazon though, so it's not perfect. Must have hallucinated that part. 😆

This is pretty cool. They do sound like real people, but with annoying filler words, constant interruptions, and fake laughter. 🫠 Why can't all AI sound like Arnie in the terminator. That's all I need, I give you a task and you tell me you'll be back.
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

Some great tips from @sarfata!
Helpful tips from the @OpenAI ChatGPT plug-ins team on MCP server design: 1) don’t stress so much about exposing too many tools, agents can handle them 2) don’t hide tools behind a discovery meta tool 3) don’t bloat tool descriptions (ChatGPT will truncate!) 4) do add read-only/destructive annotations (accurately) 5) use server instructions (only half do right now)

Replying to @sarfata
@sarfata from @OpenAI shared a key takeaway during his “MCP in the Wild” keynote at AGNTCon + MCPCon NA: Make every tool discoverable and ensure annotations accurately describe its capabilities. Because an agent can't reliably select the right tool if it doesn't know what that tool can do. Livestream: bit.ly/3U6tMrS

I am actually shocked by how much my dot can handle. Just this afternoon, I needed help to draft an RFC, fix multiple bugs/papercuts, answer questions on multiple threads, find a bunch of analytics events for alerts, resolve a sev I had been dropped into without context, and start a POC on something I've been dying to try. I threw it all at my dot. And by threw, I mean threw; I am not kind enough to organise my thoughts. It would be embarrassing to read it back. But it dealt with it all. I wonder how far I can push it. 😆

This was such a crazy project. Isn’t one of the huge announcements today. But an absolute shift was put in by the team. It’s amazing what you can pull off nowadays with these models. Unseen before productivity.
Over the past 5 weeks, the team completely rewrote ChatGPT Web on top of the desktop app codebase. This was only possible with Astra, and it’s why Dots, Space, Codex Cloud, and so many more of our launches will come to web and desktop same day. Era of the megaproject begins.

The sprint to dev day was wild! But we made it. 😆 Check out the recap, what was your favorite announcement? I’m super excited to see everyone use Plugin Extensions. 🔌

Another big step with multiple accounts in plugins. Most plugins now supported as of today. This one was a huge request from the community, loved that we could deliver! What’s next?
Starting today, you can connect multiple accounts with most plugins in ChatGPT! 🎉 Bring context from your work and personal accounts into the same conversation. Connect your accounts in the plugin directory: chatgpt.com/plugins Devs: this works automatically, with no changes needed. But, to make the experience for users of your plugin even better, add a profile tool to your MCP server so ChatGPT can label the accounts: developers.openai.com/plugin…
