the media ( 99% have never played or coached) at any level is angry that coaches call out multi millionaire professional athletes for stupid & selfish plays. Again- reporting on a fire is one thing- acting like you know what it’s like to be in the fire is not the same skill set.

Angel Reese just helped lead Atlanta to the WNBA Finals.
A fascinating aspect of modern sports is that people will spend years explaining everything an athlete supposedly cannot do, only to become strangely quiet when that athlete starts accomplishing those things.
The internet rarely issues corrections. Especially those on the internet with no name and face behind their strong opinions.

Good ol’ fashioned ass whooping of NC State by our DEACS.
Better rank us now since we should have been ranked last week.

Hey, @StateCoachD the Deacs made it past their average. Game is two halves, pal. #GoDeacs

Utah State beating Washington State 17-16 is a reminder that somewhere in America a football coach spent 80 hours preparing for a game that ultimately came down to one point.
And on Monday, someone who watched approximately 4 minutes of it will explain exactly what he should've done differently.

Please exercise discretion and only wear this hat if you are pimping on a Cecil Cooper, Gorman Thomas, or Ben Oglivie level.

Imagine going to remove Bob Gibson from a playoff game in the 5th inning. They’d have to roll you back to the dugout in a coffin.

Lmao lil bro ignoring reality which has been the past 25 years.
Since 2000:
Wake: 164–168, 1 ACC title, 13 bowls, 9–4 bowl record.
UNC: 149–172 0 ACC titles, 16 bowls, 4–12 bowl record.

Are we really going to do that thing where Missouri stays ranked all season despite not beating anyone? Wake goes to Louisville and beats No. 16 and they can’t crack the poll?

Florida makes a big leap in the AP Top 25 poll while Ole Miss, USC and Missouri tumble. See where your team landed.

One of the things I’ve noticed the last 10 years or so in HS football: when a new regime takes over, they’re quick to criticize the previous staff. I see it all the time. The fact is when you’re new, you have no idea what the previous guy dealt with. Have some class and stfu.

Young coaches, understand this: once you coach a kid, that kid is yours for life. Through every victory, struggle, peak and valley, you’re still their coach. They’ll look to you and remember how you handled life. If you’re not making that kind of impact, you’re not a coach.

1. I want to be in the meeting
2. I want to run the meeting
3. I want to avoid meetings.”

Jim Calhoun says his definition of hard coaching is to tell them the ugly truth and then be there for them when basketball is gone
“They told me things I didn’t know. Things I might have said to them that helped change things. Things I might have kicked their butt about. Don’t you bring your butt back into this gym until you understand it’s you that’s messed you up. Do you understand me? It’s you that’s screwing this whole deal up.”
“I’m here for you. I’ll be here for you now. But as soon as that ball stops dribbling, ain’t gonna be nobody there for you. It’s a whole new game, man. It might be love. It might be a different kind of expression of love.”
“But you’ve got to be there for them. It’s easy to come and say, ‘Hey, you’re wonderful. You’re great.’ But, man, you’ve got to understand, you’re messed up. You’re screwing this whole deal up for no goddamn reason except your own.’”
“I found out you could open people’s ears. You come over to the sideline… First thing I say is, ‘You know what? You’re one of the greatest players I’ve ever coached.’ Your ears are out here someplace.”
“Instead of, ‘You lazy son of a gun.’ Then your ears listen. Then you say, ‘You’re lazy.’ I found out when people hear kind of what they want to hear, then the message comes afterwards.”
“I want to tell them they are special. But you screw up too. When I say I’m going to coach you, I take it seriously.”
