LA Opera

We knew the answer before @KenJennings even finished reading the clue. Who else yelled out “Who is Falstaff?” during last night’s @Jeopardy? 👀

Live footage of us fighting over the last helpings on Thanksgiving 👀 We can't imagine a better way to wrap up the holiday weekend than with performance two of #LAOFrida. This tense scene between Frida and Catrina has us on the edges of our seats every time we see it.

Two of Mexico's most iconic artists. One opera that paints a new portrait of their love like you've never seen before. Opening night of #LAOFrida was an experience we won't soon forget. Now we want to hear from you: What were your favorite moments from the evening?

POV: You're getting ready for opening night of #LAOFrida with your opera buddy ✨ We cannot wait for you to see this awe-inspiring production, from composer @GabrielaLFrank & librettist @ncruzny, in just 24 hours. Do you have your Frida, Diego, and Catrina costumes ready to go?

In celebration of themes of Dia de Los Muertos throughout #LAOFrida, we commissioned a (jaw-dropping) ofrenda that honors Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera, decorated by Oaxacan artist and altarist Aldo Cruz, which you can visit outside of the main doors of the DCP at each performance.

That feeling when we're four days from opening night 🙌 Our final #LAOFrida rehearsal is tomorrow morning, which means it's time for our famous Instagram takeover. Second Villager & Young Man, Anthony Leon (far left), will give us a peek at the backstage fun. 📸 : Cory Weaver
