Having seen so much reaction to the City verdict over the weekend, not least from hard-of-thinking Man City fans, the verdict has been official since last Tuesday. City ARE guilty.
All and any sentiments along the lines of “let’s wait until the process is over” are ignorant.

💬 𝗤𝗨𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗦 - Matty Wright on Alisson Becker:
"I think watching him play on telly as a youngster, he’s always done things slightly differently, like a different style but one that’s probably up there with the best in the world and the most effective shot-stopper, one-v-one goalkeeper in the world."
"I think probably I'd describe myself as brave, wanting to – similar to Alisson – get into people's faces, make big saves, spread myself and become as effective a shot-stopper as I can."

☎️👀 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢 - @FabrizioRomano: Liverpool made some calls regarding Alex Scott and have been in connection with people close to the player over the summer.
Bournemouth always said no chance and that the player is staying. He was absolutely untouchable. In 2028 it could be a different story.

Armin Pecsi on growing up and signing for Liverpool.
Liverpool was my favourite club as a child. My whole family supported them, my dad and my little brother. So I was really happy even just to visit Anfield thanks to this tour to see my favourite team’s stadium. It was very special and it left a huge mark on me. It was a completely different category compared to what I had experienced before.
The fact that the opportunity came a few years later to sign for Liverpool, naturally it was my dream. I look back on it, it feels good that a few years ago I was there as a tourist and then I was able to sign for Liverpool.

Emmanuel Petit on Jérémy Jacquet:
“He’s the one making Van Dijk better, rather than the other way round. He’s not afraid of one-on-ones, reads the game very well and anticipates well.
“It feels like the two of them have been playing together for three or four years.” 🇫🇷

If Man City fail in their appeal(s) against the commission verdict and punishment, it does raise a question: are ALL the clubs in the City Football Group MCO riddled with sham sponsorships and sham contracts that might contravene the rules in various jurisdictions?

🚨 Hugo Ekitike reveals the main reason he rejected Newcastle and Manchester United for Liverpool:
“Newcastle were serious, and Manchester United came late trying to change my mind. I listened to both, but honestly, my mind was already made up. When Liverpool called, I knew where I wanted to go.”
“I remember thinking, ‘Why am I going to keep looking around?’ Liverpool were champions, Anfield was waiting, the squad was full of players I wanted to play with and the style suited the way I see football. I didn’t want the easy conversation I wanted the biggest stage.”
“And yes, people kept telling me, ‘But Newcastle really want you,’ or ‘United are Manchester United.’ I understood that. But I wasn’t choosing a badge because of the name. I was choosing the place where I could see myself becoming the player I want to be.”
“So Newcastle wanted me, United tried to hijack it… but Liverpool was the one I wanted from the beginning. When you know where you want to be, you don’t need three meetings to make the decision.”
