The People We Sometimes Forget to Appreciate
Some of the greatest blessings in our lives are not things, but people.
It can be that friend who listens without judgement. A parent who continues to show up or even a colleague who makes difficult days easier.
Supportive relationships help us develop a sense of belonging, emotional security, and resilience. Yet familiarity can sometimes make us less attentive to the very people who enrich our lives.
Today's card invites us to recognise the value of their presence before their absence reminds us.
🌿 Today's Reflection: Who has made your life better simply by being part of it? Have you taken time to tell them what their presence means to you?
📖 Proverbs 27:17

Gratitude Begins With Noticing
We often spend so much time thinking about what is missing, unfinished, or going wrong that we overlook what is already good.
Our minds naturally pay attention to problems because recognising threats helps us respond to them. But when problems occupy all our attention, we may miss the ordinary moments that also deserve appreciation.
This month we are invited to widen our attention, not to deny our difficulties, but to be reminded that they are not always the full story.
🌿 Today's Reflection: What is one blessing you noticed today that you might otherwise have taken for granted?
📖 Psalm 103:2 (NIV)

We cannot build healthier communities on the exhaustion of those caring for them.
Community health workers, teachers, caregivers and frontline professionals need more than encouragement to remain resilient.
They need supportive systems, manageable responsibilities and access to psychological care.
Those who carry the wellbeing of others deserve to have their own wellbeing protected.
We have spent years encouraging people to speak up about their #mentalhealth .
But what happens when they finally do?
Are services accessible? Are families prepared to support them? Are our communities safe enough for honest conversations?
#Breakingthesilence matters. Building systems that respond with compassion and appropriate care matters just as much.

Congratulations to @Ugpsychiatrists on the 100 psychiatrists milestone. It's been quite a journey.
But the next question is bigger: What must we build around those 100 so that #mentalhealthcare reaches the person who may never enter a psychiatric hospital?
@MinofHealthUG knows that the Mental health burden cannot be left to specialists alone. We need continue building strong referral pathways, psychologists and other professionals, informed families, equipped communities, supportive workplaces, schools and faith communities that know how to notice distress and connect people to appropriate care.
Day 6 #stress
When stress steals your sleep and sharpens your edge.
And insomnia keeps the lights on, as irritability turns every small thing into a fight.

Day 2: #Stress
A tired mind deserves care. 🌿
“He refreshes my soul.” Psalm 23:3
Today, notice one worry crowding your thoughts. Write it down, bring it to God in prayer, and give yourself permission to do one thing at a time.

This month, our journey aligns with #WorldMentalHealthDay (Oct - 10). It is a beautiful reminder that caring for our minds is not only personal, but a global call to compassion, awareness, and hope.
As we come to the end of our journey through #ThePsalmsRoom having named what is within us, made room for pain, and faced the noise of uncertainty we are reminded that sometimes moving forward requires remembering how far we have already come #TheRoomofRemembrance.
This week in #ThePsalmsRoom, we explore the #TheRoomofNoise where there is fear & faith, uncertainty & action. 1/4

But perhaps this teaches us that FAITH not having the entire journey explained before we begin. It is learning to discern which thoughts deserve our attention, that all fears and doubts need to be brought before God, and what faithful action can be possible at each moment. 3/4
Some journeys leave emotional wounds that aren't immediately visible.
This week, our September theme #PrayingThroughPsalms invites us to The Room of Tears where we will reflect on the reality that progress doesn't mean everything is ok or we are nolonger hurting/struggling. 1/4
Let’s ask ourselves, “What do I need to acknowledge, mourn, or let go of so that yesterday’s pain does not continue to shape my approach to tomorrow’s assignment?” 3/4
