"Tom Waits created his own path, not even off the beaten track but somewhere else completely." - @LOCKSbnd We examine @tomwaits' work, celebrating select albums recently reissued on colour vinyl, available exclusively at Rough Trade via @AntiRecords. blog.roughtrade.com/gb/in-pr…

Celebrating the albums and distinctive musical persona of the gravelly American singer-songwriter. There's no one as seductive and alluring, manic and intriguing, soothing and chaotic as he.

Well, shit.

The “industry” is too focused on blowing up records, not artists. To become a star, an artist needs financial resources and a ton of development time. But now deals are smaller and patience has decreased. Add to that the broken media landscape and on-demand content overload.
