"While we weren’t impressed with Kluwe or Van Der Mark, we found Van Der Mark to be the least informed candidate we’ve interviewed this election cycle by a country mile. If the GOP can’t do a better job picking candidates, it needs to grow a thicker peel." ocregister.com/2026/10/28/ed…
Register editorial board FTW: "The OCGOP's pearl-clutching reaction to a reasonable mailer criticizing its hand-picked Huntington Beach-area Assembly candidate is one of the funniest — and desperate-seeming — things we’ve seen locally this cycle."

Young Kim has so few endorsements (couldn't even get one from her lifelong BFF Michelle Steel) she has to keep recycling them over and over again. SAD!
Honored to have the endorsement of the The Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs!
"Young Kim has always had the backs of our law enforcement officers and has been a champion for public safety. The Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs is proud to endorse Young Kim for U.S. Congress because we need Young Kim fighting for us in Washington. "
Realizing voters are increasingly repulsed by the Republican brand, these geriatric rightwingers made the strategic decision to funnel more money into pink slime news. IOW they can no longer win over voters with their regressive ideas, so they're focused on tricking them instead.
'The Buckeye Bulletin', a fake news site claiming to be Ohio-based, is actually actually run by the Lincoln Club of Orange County, a group of rich old white people (with a few non-whites thrown in for optics) that defends child rapists across the country.

Calling Gracey Van Der Mark bananas means Democrats are racists 🤔
Suggesting a sitting city council member / candidate named Cynthia Vasquez secretly wants to turn Mission Viejo into a sanctuary city, even though she's never said it and doesn't think it, is not racist at all 🙄
If the OCGOP spent less time playing the victim and more time trying to recruit palatable candidates they might lose fewer seats, just sayin'.

That's not all. Everybody she met at hostels while hitchhiking through Europe was sent a ballot. As were the folks she works with at Walmart in Mississippi. Their families got ballots too - even the ones who aren't related but have the same last name. Democrat cheating in action!
Also, while I’m on the topic of voting in California…
I have a friend who hasn’t lived in the state for 10 YEARS, yet her CALIFORNIA mail-in ballot (which she NEVER requested) was sent to her parents’ address. Oh, and her parents haven’t lived in California for two years either.
On top of that, her sister, who also no longer lives in the state, and both of her parents were sent ballots as well.
So California’s supposedly “safe and secure” elections are still sending ballots to people who haven’t lived in the state for YEARS. 🙃
Super swampy and totally unsurprising. Police unions have emerged as the most corrupt actors in OC politics.
Political consultant Jeff Flint, a subject in the FBI's corruption probe in Anaheim but never accused of any wrongdoing, has reemerged in the city as an advisor to its local police union.
