Private business can be open whenever they want. The “holiday” only affects government jobs…and government jobs don’t “make money” they cost money. So, in theory, more holidays would probably reduce government spending.
Pulled up to a bank drive through window couple years ago. Saw a "Closed on Juneteenth" sign. Had no idea what it was. Asked the person what it was. Bless her heart, she tried to explain without offending anyone. I saw her discomfort and told her nevermind.
