Three years ago, October 7 changed me.
I grew up Jewish. Bar Mitzvah. Jewish family. My DNA ancestry is 100% Ashkenazi Jewish.
Then, in 1988, I gave my life to Jesus Christ. Spoiler alert: He’s the top Jew. For 38 years, He has been the center of my life.
But following Jesus never erased the Jewish blood in my veins, the Jewish childhood in my heart, or the bond I have with the Jewish people.
So when Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, I didn’t just see it as a journalist covering another horrible story. It felt like an attack on my people.
I grew up hearing NEVER AGAIN because of the Holocaust. I knew what those words meant. But after October 7, they hit me differently.
Never Again couldn’t just be a slogan anymore. It had to mean something. It had to mean speaking up. It had to mean standing up. It had to mean calling out antisemitism wherever it shows up.
And yes, that includes inside the Church too.mI’m going to keep speaking out about the danger of replacement theology — this idea that God is somehow done with the Jewish people or that His promises to Israel no longer matter. I don’t believe that for one second. The Bible is a book of eternal truth. God keeps His promises. It is right there in black and white.
My faith belongs completely to Jesus Christ. But my Jewish roots are not some little side note in my life. They are part of who I am. October 7 woke something up in me that is never going back to sleep.
So as long as God gives me a microphone, a camera, a platform and breath in my lungs, I’m going to use them.
I’m going to speak. I’m going to expose. I’m going to stand. And I’m going to fight antisemitism for the rest of my life.
Because NEVER AGAIN can’t just mean “we remember.” It has to mean: NOT ON OUR WATCH. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not ever.

OCTOBER 7, 2023: SHE KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO DIE.
Libi Cohen-Meguri, a 22-year-old infantry officer, went to the Nova music festival.
She was shot while fleeing the party. At 8:11 a.m., she called her parents and said:
“I’ve been shot in the stomach, I’ve been shot in the arm, I’m losing blood. I’m going to die.”
Calmly, quietly, she understood; these were the last minutes of her life.
She asked her parents to call Tomer, her twin brother, and Maya, her little sister, and said:
“I’m going to die. I just want you to listen to me.
I love you, Yariv. You’re the best father I could have asked for.
Mom, stop screaming. Just listen to me. You are the best mother we could have ever had. Don’t forget to be a good mother to Tomer and Maya after I die.
Tomer, how lucky we were to live this life together. I love you.
My Maya, never forget—you are the treasure of my life.”
When she finished speaking, her parents told her to get out of the car, lie down on the road, and pretend to be dead.
With her last bit of strength, she got out of the car and laid down on the road.
“Mom, they’re coming to shoot me again,” Libi said after lying down.
While her mother listened on the phone, shouts in Arabic could be heard, and then a barrage of gunfire.
It didn’t stop.
It kept going, until the call was disconnected.
And that’s how Libi died—with demonic beasts from the pit of hell standing over her and emptying a full magazine into her body.
Libi died with LOVE on her lips: love for life, love for her family, and love for her people.
Her memory will forever be a blessing.

Bryan Adams ended his concert in Munich by dedicating “All For Love” to the children of Gaza. But the title makes the hypocrisy impossible to ignore: where was that “all” for the Israeli children murdered on October 7, for the children dragged into Gaza, or for the families torn apart by Hamas?
Compassion is easy when it is selective. Calling it “All For Love” while erasing one side’s victims is something else entirely.

There are different levels of courage. Edan Alexander is the one you measure the others against.
He grew up in New Jersey. He volunteered for Golani. On October 7 he had stayed at the outpost near Nirim so someone else could go home for Shabbat. At 6:57 in the morning he called his mother and told her she wouldn’t believe what he was seeing. Then he held the post against about thirty gunmen, alone, until they took him.
In the tunnel he was in uniform, and the civilians who were thrown in with him calmed down because a soldier was there. He told them they would get out. He argued, in English, for the Thai workers, because they were not Israelis and Hamas had no reason to keep them. He was the last living American they held. He came home on his feet.
He spent 584 days in the tunnels, no daylight, fighting every day just to stay alive. His mother waited that long for the hug. She got him back in her arms.
Most people would have called that the end of the story. He stood up and said it wasn’t. A month after giving this speech, Edan went back and put on that uniform so he can continue the fight.
His story didn’t end with survival. It continued with service.
That’s a whole different level of courage. They took a boy from New Jersey and buried him under Gaza for a year and a half. He came out and asked for the uniform back. He is a legend. A true lion of Israel.

Worse than Hamas propaganda. I have now seen the documentary NAZA in its entirety, and it is worse than I imagined. Over three years, I’ve tried not to be surprised by ignorance, disinformation, and distortions relating to war, but this is at the top for many reasons.
I will write a detailed analysis soon, but one of the worst, a massive claim displayed in the middle of the film, in bright yellow against a black screen: “Israel has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians in Gaza.”
Not even Hamas says this. Meaning not even Hamas claims Israel has killed every Palestinian that has died in Gaza since October 7th. Hamas has publicly killed Palestinians to maintain power in the Gaza. There have been battles between Hamas and anti-Hamas clans. Up to 20% of the 12,000 Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad rockets fired at Israel fell inside Gaza. Recent Hamas reporting shows natural deaths on their list. To say every person that died in Gaza was killed by Israel is a vulgar lie.
There are a lot of other lies, lies by omission, and lies of ignorance in NAZA, but this claim is unique and follows the lies, damned lies, and statistics for accusations that go against the actual number put out by Hamas or reality.
