Lake Highlands High School

🎉🎉 Richardson ISD has earned a B Rating from the Texas Education Agency for 2026, up 3.6 points from last year. 31 campuses have earned an A or B, confirming what we have been working toward—continued growth and student progress. Collectively, 34 schools earned 113 academic distinctions. This achievement belongs to our entire school community and reflects the learning and growth happening in our classrooms every day. We remain committed to our district’s North Star Goal, where every student will meet or exceed their academic growth goals. 🔗bit.ly/4fXbIJ0

Full circle moments like this mean everything. 2025-2026 Stars Teacher of the Year returned home to @LakeHighlandsHS, as a teacher ready to serve the community that shaped her. A proud RISD graduate from LHHS, continues her family’s legacy in the same community while raising her own children in RISD. For Marisha, teaching is more than a profession—it is a calling. Returning to LHHS represents a full-circle moment and a meaningful opportunity to invest in the next generation from the very community that invested in her. Her “why” for teaching is rooted in giving back. She is passionate about helping, inspiring, and empowering students of all backgrounds to believe in their potential and to leave her classroom with confidence and hope.
