Like many, here at Lambert Cup headquarters we are looking forward to the FCS playoff selection committee's first Top 10 rankings today on ESPN. This week's Lambert Cup Poll is out, and here's the results before the broadcast! Might be pertinent to their initial rankings.

Loved seeing this Bucknell football retrospective which goes into Bucknell's Lambert Cup football history! The Bison (or Bisons!) won the Cup in 1960 and 1964. bucknellbison.com/news/2020/…

With all the Sun Belt discussion happening today, I’m thinking about this game again 1982 D1-AA semifinal game between LA Tech and Delaware in Ruston LA Seeing teams like Tech and UL every year or two would be sweet, plus CCU, APP, Marshall, ODU, and Georgia Southern annually

Smart move by @NCAA_FCS. Putting some distance between them and the noon announcement of the initial results of the 2026 Lambert Cup poll.
Craig Haley (@CraigHaley2025) profile pictureCraig Haley@CraigHaley2025Oct 7
The NCAA has clarified tomorrow's FCS playoff announcement: It is only announcing the Top 10 reveal schedule (upcoming dates and times), not the actual first top-10 rankings.

Who are the Lambert brothers, who created the Lambert Trophy and Lambert Cup? NYC Jewelers Victor A. Lambert and Henry L. Lambert, named it the Lambert Trophy after their late father, August V. Lambert, in his memory.
