🇺🇦 This little boy is Kyrylo, he was only 2 years old. He was born in Mariupol. He loved toy cars, puzzles, his little farm of toy animals, and sharing his toys and cookies with other children. On March 13, 2022, Kyrylo was hiding at home with his family when Russian shells struck the building and yard. Kyrylo was killed. So were his grandmother, both grandfathers and two other relatives. His mother was severely wounded💔 His father had once worked at sea, spending months away from home. He left that job so he could stay in Mariupol and watch his little son grow up. They were simply a family living their life until Russia destroyed it💔 Today, Kyrylo's grave remains in occupied Mariupol. His parents survived and later had a daughter. A little sister Kyrylo will never meet. He was only 2 years old. He had his whole life ahead of him. Russians took it away. 💔😡 (Memorial. UA) Innocent victims, again day by day of this war hell🤬 Rest in peace💔

Ukrainian defender Danylo Ivzhenko posted a heartbreaking tribute to his wife. "Today, a russian attack on a business center killed the most important person in my life. My beloved wife, Maria Ivzhenko. Masha was so wonderful and clever. She was my best friend, my wife, the voice of wisdom and my care. Last year, we took out a mortgage and planned to have a baby this winter. Now Masha is gone. There will be no children, and I don't need this apartment anymore. The car burned down. Masha was killed. I lost my friend, my girl, my wife, the mother of my future children — children we will never have. This is Jessy. She loved Masha no less than I did. And now I can't explain to her that it's just the two of us left. She is waiting for Masha and misses her just as much as I do." 💔 Via @shodyvyshsia.

When Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, many in the West expected the country's elite to stop the war. Why didn't they? @amenka talks to @maxseddon about her new book on precisely this issue tomorrow at 11 am EDT / 5 pm CEST on our YouTube channel: carnegieendowment.org/events…

I’ve avoided playing for a very long time due to my uncontrollable chess addiction, but that was the price of admission for the famous Botez chess podcast youtu.be/YJDJ19tdo6k, featuring the brilliant and charismatic Alexandra Botez.

The Supreme Court has ruled that President Trump can only fire Federal Reserve officials for “just cause”. Does “just cause I want to” count? @realDonaldTrump
