Lots of what @hilltopfarmgirl has to say just as relevant to Welsh upland farming, including reducing stocking rates and extending cutting dates can have a big positive impact on farm biodiversity and profitability. Worth a read #naturefriendlyfarming

So we’ve lost the last Malaysian Sumatran Rhino (30-100 survive in the wild) and now the Koala has been declared ‘functionally extinct’. How many more losses must we endure before we wake up to our planets impending death? It’s time to act now @ExtinctionR forbes.com/sites/trevornace/…

If you've ever wondered why conservationists keep on banging on about not trimming hedges every year #naturefriendlyfarming
Fieldfares are back and hedges are keeping them fed on farmland
Did you know that hedges cut every 3 years produce over 3X more berries than those trimmed annually and 40% more than those cut every 2 years? #Boundaries

We have the power to solve flooding for good
However it won't be done with schemes or at margins (tho good)
It's the same root cause that's preventing drilling now and created drought issue 2018. Lack of infiltration
Only application of #soilhealth principles can deliver solution
