We mourn the passing of Patrick Stewart, who inspired countless individuals at NASA (and beyond) to boldly go where no one has gone before.

Just a regular reminder for Finance people who care about the best market in the world: The SEC is down to 1 commissioner ex-chair, the CFTC,0. There are no nominations, and the SEC passed its own new rule without comment or notice, to allow it to function with one person.
New one from me on M&A in the ETF industry with color from Wes Matthews, Alex Morris, & David Littleton who help me break down what an ETF firm getting bought means for its investors. (Spoiler: It's usually good.) Link in next post.

Had a great time connecting with Wes in the ETF Oasis! We also had a bunch of audience questions, which is always a blast

What better place to talk innovation in wealth management than Huntington Beach? 🌴
Our NEOS team had a great time connecting with advisors and industry leaders at @FutureProof_HQ! Plus our very own Wes Mathews took the ETF Oasis stage for an insightful conversation with @LaraCrigger on the growing role of options-based ETFs.
From pursuing monthly income to adding flexibility and diversification to portfolios, options-based strategies are becoming an increasingly important part of the conversation with today’s investors.
Thank you to everyone who connected with the NEOS team! 🚀

The 9/11 story that stays with me belongs to Rick Rescorla.
His life is book-ended by two moments of American courage. Twice he answered the call of duty above and beyond all reason.
25 years ago today, he gave his life so others would live.

It's hard to believe FP is already next week! This will be my first time, so let me know the must-sees and must-dos!
My latest: Why coming together as a community really matters, even when it's hard: a case for FutureProof (and the ETF Oasis). etf.com/sections/conferences…

Wow! Forty years ago, they told us it couldn't be done! But we did it! We proved them all wrong

We have been here before
When physicists first noticed thin black lines in the spectrum of sunlight in the early 1800s, they had no idea what they were looking at. It took more than half a century to figure out that these lines also occur in teh spectrum of gases on Earth and it took a whole century and the development of quantum mechanics, to fully understand that these were spectral absorption lines of atoms in the atmosphere of the sun
Of course, Fraunhofer lines never attracted the public interest that dark matter does, but physics has always had problems that looked baffling for decades before the right explanation arrived
After my uncle died, we found a box of comics in his basement, from who knows where. He wasn't a collector, far as we knew, and there's little rhyme or reason.
As the only comics nerd in the family, it came to me. I've been inventorying the lot. Marveling at decades of history.
The only series my uncle clearly actually had an interest in was the Fantastic Four. Which just so happens to be my favorite, too. It's funny how we barely knew each other, yet still had something linking us besides blood. I treasure FF now more than ever.
