"Just one more year."
Every bitcoin retirement plan is a choice against the plan you didn't pick — retire in 2035 or 2036, draw more or less, wait for a bigger stack.
New tool: put two complete bitcoin retirement plans side by side and read what the difference actually buys.🧵
AI will create trillions. Whether anyone captures them comes down to three variables, which move over time.

Hamilton Helmer's 7 Powers, applied to a frontier AI lab and to bitcoin. The lab gets real credit — brand, process power. The row that matters is the last one: how long the barrier lasts.
From a new essay on why the market has AI and bitcoin confused — linked in the reply.
Bitcoin vs. AI: value creation is not value capture.

The Bitcoin Rundown is live. Tell it your situation — retirement year, target income, your stack if you like — and what you came to decide, and it lays out what a position like today's has meant for exactly that. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
2/2
From a position like today's — about half its long-run trend — it shows how often deploying beat waiting, what "waiting for a lower entry" actually bought, how long returns to trend have taken, what the retirement arithmetic needs. Historical, at this position. Not a prediction.

1/2 For weeks my Bitcoin Dashboard said bitcoin's record held 65 completed episodes at today's depth. It was six. Same data, one wrong noun, a tenfold overstatement. What changed when I counted properly — and the one question to ask of any bitcoin statistic:

.@grok why was @Parodyjeffx suspended?
@elonmusk - There must be transparency in these processes. We all “notice” the obvious abuse of these polices to target critics of Israel
Why I see the power law as a tremendously useful model to describe bitcoin's growth over time:
- bitcoin is a system and network (closer to internet or mobile phone growth), unlike all other financial assets.
- It is conservative; implied CAGR decreases over time.
- the growth is proportional, sustainable and scalable.
- It is more useful than technical analysis to consider future price movements.

This is reminiscent of specifically what caused the fall the Roman Empire.
BREAKING: Donald Trump's war on Iran has forced the U.S. Navy to take money from its own sailors' paychecks to keep the conflict going — a financial meltdown that has left the military scrambling, per The Guardian.
A Pentagon memo warns of "shortfalls in payroll" accounts after the department raided them to finance combat operations. One Navy official said: "The money for payroll was robbed to pay for overseas contingencies." Non-emergency maintenance has already been postponed.
"The piggy bank is broken," said retired naval officer Harlan Ullman. The war has depleted munitions, wrecked Middle Eastern bases, and left a $67 billion emergency funding request stalled in Congress.
Trump launched the war on February 28. The Navy's $300 billion budget didn't account for it. Now sailors' paychecks are being cannibalized to keep it going.
Now flip one toggle: a −60% crash in the first year of each plan's retirement. It hits BOTH plans — no cherry-picking.
Same two plans:
Plan A runs out in 2057.
Plan B holds through the horizon.
One working year = the difference between running out and never running out.

It's one of four bitcoin retirement tools: build a plan → find how much is enough → choose between your options → stress-test the winner.
