Every word in our conversation has a mission. Whether we know it or not, and regardless of how large or small the conversation, we employ words to accomplish a mission. The question is: what mission are we trying to accomplish?

Your worth is not determined by your performance. Yet leaders often measure themselves by results, recognition, promotions, or the opinions of others. When our identity depends on success, every setback becomes a threat and every criticism feels personal. But our security was never meant to rest on things that can change. When we find our worth in God's unconditional love, we are free to lead without constantly proving ourselves. ๐Ÿ“– Explore Lead Like Jesus Revisited. ๐Ÿ’ญJesusโ€™ life reveals the very heart and mind of God. The startling revelation is that at His very core, God is a servant. Do you share Godโ€™s desire to serve? How is Jesusโ€™ presence transforming your life? ๐Ÿ“–In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to deathโ€” even death on a cross!โ€”Philippians 2:5-8 ๐Ÿ™Prayer: Jesus, as I reflect on this passage, I am humbled. I realize how much You want to transform my leadership motivations and intentions, my perspective, my attitudes and behavior. I realize how far I have to go to become like You. Thank You for Your unending patience with me. Make me like You, I pray in Your name, Amen.

Today is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. As followers of Jesus, we are called to remember our brothers and sisters who suffer because of their faith. Today, we invite you to pause and pray for their strength, courage, protection, and perseverance. Pray also for Christian leaders faithfully serving in places where following Jesus comes at a great cost. โ€œIf one member suffers, all suffer together.โ€ โ€” 1 Corinthians 12:26 #IDOP2026 #LeadLikeJesus

๐Ÿ’ญWhat benefits do you have from your relationship with Christ? A relationship with Jesus fulfills the deepest needs of our souls, the need for encouragement, comfort, identity, intimacy, acceptance, compassion and understanding. When we invite Jesus to satisfy our innermost needs, we are free to love others as He did. How is His unconditional love transforming your relationships? ๐Ÿ“–Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.โ€”Philippians 2:1-2 ๐Ÿ™Prayer: Jesus, thank You for your unconditional love for me. Thank You for meeting the deepest needs of my soul. Thank You for accepting me, believing in me, and encouraging me. Transform my relationships as you transform me with Your love. Teach me to love others the way You love me. I pray in Your name, Amen.

What matters most to you? Success? Recognition? Financial security? Influence? These things aren't necessarily wrong. But when they become more important than God, they begin to shape our priorities, decisions, and relationships. As leaders, we must regularly examine what holds first place in our hearts. Jesus calls us to love God above everything else. What might you need to surrender to Him today? ๐Ÿ“– Read Chapter 8 of Lead Like Jesus Revisited. Available in paperback, Kindle, and Audible. ๐Ÿ’ญCertain results are accomplished only by intentional, focused prayer. Actually, Jesus said that at times both prayer and fasting were required. Leading like Jesus means not just wishing that things would change, but seeking God for the change He wants to bring about and the role He has for us to play in leading change. What are you praying about today? ๐Ÿ“–Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.โ€”Luke 18:1 ๐Ÿ™Prayer: Lord, I see the importance of prayer in Your life, and I listen as You teach Your disciples to pray. I am emboldened to keep asking You for what I need as a servant leader. I believe that You long to hear me ask You what You want to do and how You want to use me. So I pray today, and I wait to hear what You will say as I pray in Jesusโ€™ name, Amen.

EGO doesn't always look like arrogance. Sometimes it looks like trusting our own abilities more than God's wisdom, seeking recognition instead of His approval, or allowing success to become our greatest priority. That's what we call Edging God Out. Even good things can take God's rightful place in our hearts. Take a moment today to ask: What has become more important to me than God? ๐Ÿ“– Discover more in Lead Like Jesus Revisited. Available in paperback, Kindle, and Audible: ow.ly/bIRz5101uXA

๐Ÿ’ญScripture calls us to let the reality of our love for Christ be seen in our relationships with fellow believers. We are called minister to others according to their needs: to pray for one another, to be considerate of one another, to love one another, to exhort and encourage one another, to carry one anotherโ€™s burdens, to forgive one another, even to rebuke one another, if needed. The disciples practiced mutual submission, consulting one another on doctrinal issues and working through disagreements so as to honor Christ. How is your reverence for Christ reflected in relationships with those around you? ๐Ÿ“–Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.โ€”Ephesians 5:21 ๐Ÿ™Prayer: Lord Jesus, I want others to see that there is something different, something appealing in the way that we Christians love one another. Help me to respect and support my brothers and sisters in Christ in visible ways as we live our lives for You. In Your name I pray, Amen.

When circumstances change, Godโ€™s Word remains. The psalmist says, โ€œMy comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.โ€ โ€”Psalm 119:50 Biblical hope is not pretending pain does not exist. It is trusting that God is faithful even in the middle of it. When life feels uncertain, remember what He has already done in Christ. His promises give us solid ground to stand on.

๐Ÿ’ญPeter knew the power of Jesusโ€™ forgiveness. After swearing that he would never forsake Jesus, he slept through prayer and then denied and abandoned Jesus. Paul mentions, almost as an aside, Jesusโ€™ private appearance to Peter after his resurrection. What this must have meant to Peter! Have you known forgiveness this complete? How has it transformed your life? ๐Ÿ“–For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas [Peter], and then to the Twelve.โ€”1 Corinthians 15:3-5 ๐Ÿ™Prayer: Oh Jesus, thank You for forgiving me and restoring me! Thank You for Your mercy and grace. Thank You for the opportunity to show my love for You by serving others in Your name. May I extend the forgiveness and grace You have shown me to others. I pray in Your name, Amen.

Whose interests are driving your leadership decisions? It's easy to put our own agendas, recognition, comfort, or success ahead of those we lead. But Jesus showed us a different way. He used His influence to serve others, not Himself. Leading like Jesus requires us to examine not only WHAT we do, but WHY we do it. Before your next leadership decision, ask: Am I serving others, or am I serving myself? ๐Ÿ“– Learn more in Lead Like Jesus Revisited. Available in paperback, Kindle, and Audible. ow.ly/90bV50ZZuBY

๐Ÿ’ญTo be filled with the Spirit is to live all of life in light of Godโ€™s presence. Praise and thanksgiving highlight His presence and activity. As we focus on Godโ€™s goodness, our hearts are shaped to trust Him more, our minds are renewed, and our relationships are transformed. As you meditate on this Scripture passage, ask God how you can intentionally create an atmosphere of praise. ๐Ÿ“–Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.โ€”Ephesians 5:18-20 ๐Ÿ™Prayer: God, You are good, and Your love endures forever. Thank You for life and breath and hope. Thank You for Jesus. Thank You for Your Spirit. Thank You for the encouragement of Scripture. Thank You that I can meditate on Your goodness and choose to praise You today. In Jesusโ€™ name, Amen.

The world often defines freedom as doing whatever we want. Psalm 119 gives us a better picture: โ€œI will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.โ€ โ€”Psalm 119:45 Sin promises freedom but leads to slavery. In Christ, we are set free to walk in Godโ€™s good waysโ€”not to earn His love, but because we already belong to Him. True freedom is found in trusting and following God.

You want to lead like Jesus. But do your actions always reflect that desire? Even with the best intentions, we can allow pride, fear, and self-interest to influence how we lead. The greatest barrier to leading like Jesus isn't a lack of leadership skills. It's a heart that puts self first. Lasting leadership transformation begins when we allow Jesus to change our hearts. ๐Ÿ“– Explore Chapter 8 of Lead Like Jesus Revisited, available in paperback, Kindle, and Audible. ๐Ÿ’ญGod has given us everything we need in Jesus. Peter says that we have all we need for life and godliness in Godโ€™s promises. Paul tells us that we have every spiritual blessing in Christ. As leaders, Jesus has commissioned us to go in His name and authority. What do you trust Him to supply today? ๐Ÿ“–Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.โ€”Ephesians 1:3 ๐Ÿ™Prayer: Lord, too often I look at myself instead of relying on who You are as I lead. Forgive me. Refocus me on who You are and all that I am and have in You. You have promised never to forsake me. You have placed me where I am for Your purposes. You have given me Your Spirit. Today, let me meditate on who You are and go in Your strength. I pray in Your name, Jesus, Amen.
