This was painful to watch. He has been through a lot already. The last time he disclocated this elbow he missed 3 games, came back and reinjured it against Minnesota, and was out for the rest of the 2025 season. You hate to see it.

Louisville Trinity RB Ashton Taylor is one of the more interesting prospects to follow in the 2028 class. As a sophomore, he rushed for 453 yards and 7 TDs on 70 carries, adding 138 receiving yards and 3 more scores through the air. He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown. He was part of a talented Trinity backfield, so the raw rushing totals don't tell the entire story. He averaged nearly 6.5 yards per carry and demonstrated his ability to contribute in multiple phases of the game. In December, he broke loose for a 51-yard touchdown in the Class 6A championship game, helping Trinity secure its third consecutive state title. The junior already has offers from Louisville, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, BYU and several others, with Notre Dame continuing to evaluate him. His recruiting profiles also report offers from Appalachian State, Colorado State, East Carolina, Miami (Ohio), Sacramento State, San Diego State and Toledo, among others. What makes his recruitment interesting is the combination of his production, versatility and the level of competition he's experiencing at Trinity. He's played meaningful football in a program that's won three consecutive 6A state championships, and he's shown he can contribute in the running game, blocking, as a receiver, and on special teams. Good vision, quick acceleration through the hole, and the ability to contribute in the passing game. Already has a state championship TD and a growing Power Four offer list. Still flying a little under the radar, but I don't expect that to last much longer. You'll be hearing a lot more about Ashton Taylor.
