Huge credit to @Ed_Authority for their brilliant #BeReadyNI initiative! 👏 At Learning Me, we wholeheartedly support this work. By giving children explicit strategies to explore emergency preparedness through presentational talk, we give them genuine agency and confidence.
The Education Authority has rolled out the Be Ready Thematic Unit, a resource available to primary schools across the region, designed to help Key Stage 2 pupils build confidence and resilience in the face of everyday risks and emergencies. From reacting in a medical emergency to staying safe during extreme weather, the unit gives children the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions at school, at home, and in their community. The best part? The learning doesn't stop at the school gates. This initiative is designed to reach into homes and empower whole families to feel prepared. #BeReadyNI
