A big thank-you to our officers, staff, and CERT volunteers for their hard work throughout Halloween weekend! Our team kicked off the festivities at Halloween in the Grove, where officers and CERT volunteers helped keep everyone safe while grilling and handing out 2,000 hot dogs and plenty of sweet treats. On Halloween night, several of our officers were out in neighborhoods across the community, maintaining a visible presence, handing out candy to hundreds of trick-or-treaters, and keeping a watchful eye on our roadways. We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! We appreciate our team and everyone who helped make the weekend a success.

Friday night, October 30, Lebanon Police Department officers responded to the area of Sycamore Street in reference to a physical altercation involving a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a male with multiple sharp force injuries. Officers immediately began rendering aid. Witnesses at the scene provided officers with a description of the suspect and the vehicle he was occupying. Responding officers canvassed the area and quickly located the suspect on Park Avenue, where he was taken into custody. Due to the nature of the incident, the suspect was transported to Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital for medical evaluation. The victim, identified as 45-year-old Nicholas Bryant, was transported to Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital as well, where he was pronounced deceased. Following the preliminary investigation, 47-year-old Paul St. Clair has been charged with criminal homicide. He will be booked into the Wilson County Jail upon his release from the hospital. Detectives believe this was an isolated incident. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No additional information is available for release at this time.

Enjoy a few Halloween safety tips while our officers try to endure an Extreme Sour Warhead 😂 Helpful Tips Below⬇️ Halloween is this weekend, and we want everyone to have a fun and safe time while trick-or-treating! Here are a few reminders before heading out: 👮‍♀️ Stick Together: Trick-or-treat in groups, stay with your family or trusted adults, and keep an eye on one another. 🚫 Do Not Enter Homes or Vehicles: Avoid entering any unknown homes or vehicles, regardless of how tempting the candy may be! 👻 Be Visible: Wear bright or reflective clothing when possible. If your costume is dark, carry a flashlight or use glow sticks to help drivers see you. 🚶 Use Sidewalks and Crosswalks: Stick to sidewalks whenever possible and use crosswalks when crossing the street. Look both ways and stay alert. 🚙 Drive Cautiously: Drivers, slow down in residential areas and watch carefully for children who may be excited and focused on collecting candy. 🍬 Check Those Treats: Make sure to inspect your (or your child’s) candy before digging in. Throw away anything that appears opened, damaged, or suspicious. Have fun, stay safe, and enjoy all the Halloween fun! Our officers will be out patrolling neighborhoods, handing out candy, and checking on trick-or-treaters throughout the weekend. If you see something suspicious (or spooky) don’t hesitate to give us a call. 🎃 Happy Halloween, Lebanon! 👻 #halloween #warheads #cops
