Fires are visible in multiple locations at the Kapotnya oil refinery in Moscow this morning (local time). Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces posted a fire emoji on X, a signal they have used before to seemingly imply responsibility without making an official claim.
No official confirmation has been issued by Ukrainian or Russian authorities.
The Kapotnya refinery, Moscow's largest, supplies roughly 35 to 40 percent of the capital's fuel market. It has been struck repeatedly since June 2026, including two major attacks within days of each other that damaged its primary crude processing units. Industry estimates put full repairs at up to a billion dollars, with some analysts projecting the facility may not be fully restored until 2027.
The extent to which the refinery is damaged is still being assessed.

🚨BREAKING — Houthi escalation against Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia says its air defenses intercepted a Houthi ballistic missile targeting Riyadh, while additional attempted strikes targeted Taif, Yanbu, Baysh and Farasan. The Houthis separately claimed missile and drone attacks on “sensitive sites” in the capital and Aramco facilities in Yanbu.
Saudi Civil Defense issued alerts across multiple locations overnight as the attack wave intensified. Reuters-verified footage showed a large plume of black smoke near King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh after explosions were heard. Saudi authorities said the Riyadh missile was intercepted, and no casualties were immediately reported.
This was the first Houthi ballistic-missile attack on Riyadh since the current escalation began, marking a significant expansion of the confrontation deeper into Saudi territory.

U.S. B-1B Lancer bomber was filmed taking off from RAF Fairford tonight with full afterburners.
Afterburner takeoffs typically mean the jet is heavy — often indicating a full weapons load — though they can also happen on training runs.
Fairford has been the main base for Operation Epic Fury strikes on Iranian targets since March, with roughly a dozen B-1Bs still stationed there.
