This was a low-budget production that was quite cute in some ways, but cute alone generally does not make a great film. No, there was no greatness here, but I suppose it was something to do and I liked the loose general premise of it.
However, the spell apparently has a side effect that Elena hadn鈥檛 counted on. Jen鈥檚 favorite doll is not only alive now, it鈥檚 a killing machine.
When Elena learns of Jen鈥檚 untimely death in a car accident, she wants to help lift his spirits, so she casts a spell designed to bring him good fortune.
Meanwhile, the proprietor of the local craft shop is a woman named Elena (played by Danielle Nicole Chambers) who also happens to be a kind-hearted witch who senses a special energy about Ryan.
But alas, fate steps in, and three months later Jen's accidental death has Ryan reeling. Eric (played by Andrew Chan) and Judy (played by Abby Rey) are friends who try to help Ryan get settled into his new place following Jen鈥檚 passing, and they try their best to comfort him.
In this particular film, the object in question is a doll, owned by a woman named Jen (played by Jasenea Mae). Her fiance Ryan (played by Ryan Mercier) is beginning to adjust to the idea of being around these things all the time now as they start their life together.
I鈥檓 always game to check out a new horror film about an inanimate object that ends up possessed, occupied, or inhabited.
