13 years ago… On November 10, 2013... My candidate, @drobafemihamzat KOH, appeared on Opeyemi Agbaje’s show, “The Policy Council,” where he answered a question about infrastructure development in Lagos State focusing on the elite areas. As usual, he responded with facts, data and statistics. 1. Between 2007 and 2011, Lagos State, under Dr. Hamzat as Commissioner for Works, completed 440 roads. ✅ 2. 19% of those 440 roads were in Alimosho LG, including projects in Shasha, Orisunbare, Old Ota Road, Abaranje Road in the Igando–Ikotun axis, and many others. ✅ 3. And the reason was simple: in terms of building approvals, Alimosho accounted for 44% of the state’s total. People were moving there, so it was important to build the infrastructure to support that growth. ✅ 4. In Ifako-Ijaiye, the state was building a ₦1.4 billion bridge between Abiola and Onijemo communities. ✅ 5. In Isheri-Osun, the state was building a ₦10 billion bridge, comprising 700m and 320m stretches. ✅ 6. In terms of quantity, infrastructure built in the so-called non-elite areas accounted for about 78% of the total infrastructure delivered. ✅ The segment ended with the presenter acknowledging and admiring the massive infrastructure work being carried out across Lagos, specifically through the local governments. My take: Ìgì imú jìnnà sí orí. Meaning: The ridge of the nose is far from the head. In this election, @drobafemihamzat literally NOBODY’S MATE. ✌🏾
