I want to support Lena throughout her career, including when she takes on roles outside GL projects. That means accepting that she will work with different actors and that some stories will include romance or kissing scenes. That is completely normal. She is an actress, and her job is to bring different characters and stories to life. It’s upsetting to see her co-star being called ugly and personally attacked over a scene they performed together. He is a person with feelings and a career of his own. He should not have to face insults for doing his job. If you want to discuss the film, discuss the acting, the chemistry, the storyline, the directing or the lighting. There is plenty to talk about without attacking someone’s appearance. Those insults say far more about the people making them than about him. Please also consider the position this puts Lena in. How might future co-stars and production teams feel about working with her if they see her colleagues being targeted by some of her fans? She has worked for ten years to get where she is today.
