This school year, the State provided ZERO dollars to the LRHSD for regular education and currently only funds 10% of our total budget. Help us keep our amazing academic programs by telling Trenton we need fair school funding now! Visit LRHSD.org/SOS to find out how.

The Lenape Indians won yesterday’s matchup vs Hamilton West in extra inning walkoff fashion. The Player of the Game goes to Sophomore Adam Chickletts for his game winning RBI single. The Indians take on Cherry Hill West tomorrow at Home.
Huge thanks to @cadehunter17 of the Cincinnati Reds for speaking to our players. Having a Lenape alumni back always makes these conversations that much more special!
Another cluster of perfect attendance for the month of January. We’re officially just 4 weeks aways from the start of the 2025 season! Let’s finish the off season strong 💪🏼
What an awesome opportunity to have Davis Schneider of the Toronto Blue Jays in to talk to our players! It’s always a tremendous experience for our players to receive insight from some of the top talent in the world!
Since starting in September, we’ve seen phenomenal improvements throughout the entire program! 1 more months to make strides in the weight room.

Had a great time yesterday at the Montclair State Prospect camp. I faced 6 batters striking out all 6. Here is some video from yesterday’s camp. @ScanzanoCombat @LenapeBaseball1 @matt_woods123 @montclair_base @BUncommitted

Baseball needs more summer coaches, more HS coaches, to be honest with kids about their future in baseball.
FAR TOO MANY families are spending thousands of dollars per year on travel ball + showcases who will never play in college. Some will never play on their HS varsity team. Yet, the showcase circuit is happy to take every cent they can from those families.
How many "scouting" videos do we have to see of a rising HS JR throwing 72-75 on the mound with a bad arm action whose write-up says, "Good run and sink. Elite spin rate. Attacks the zone." What the report should say is, "Needs to hit the books or maybe try other sports, because baseball's not in your future, young man."
It takes a trusted coach with a lot of guts, and a lot of integrity, to sit that family down and have an honest conversation. That doesn't mean the coach needs to tell the kid to quit baseball. It just means it's time to have the, "It might not be so wise to keep spending $5,000 per summer" talk.
Baseball needs more men willing to have this conversation with their players. Baseball needs less people (and fewer businesses) who value money over honesty and integrity.
