Afternoon everyone. Was out for a few hours last night until the clouds rolled in.
This one is a bit more sentimental. When my Dad died, my sister-in-law got one one of those Name a Star things. So this is also known as Nu-Cygnus. (Bright central star). Located in the constellation Cynus, roughly 374 ligh years from Earth. Captured with part of the North America nebula in bottom right.
Equipment used;
Scope: William Optics Spacecat51
Camera: ZWO ASI2600MC PRO
Mount: ZWO AM7
Filter: First light with the Optolong L-Ultimate
33x300s frames, stacked and processed in Pixinsight.

Good morning all. This is my first set of data for the Elephant Trunk nebula in Cepheus (IC1396). This was my first time taking 10 minute exposures.
I figured that my Optolong L-Ultimate blocks so much light that star bloating wouldn't be too much of an issue. Plus the ZWO AM7 made it a breeze. I also managed to get my ZWO EAF working for the first time too...result!
This is only 2.5hrs of data (15x600s) because the clouds rolled in and haven't had a clear night since last Sunday. More data to follow.

My timelapse of the Eclipse on the Seestar S50. Unfortunately it went below my shed at the end. I wasn't travelling because I'm lazy. 🤣🤣 My sister made a camera obscura as well with a cornflakes box.
Went to @jodrellbank yesterday. Nerded out for a few hours. If you get the chance, then go pay it a visit. It's only £15 per YEAR for adults!
Got to see it moving too. It amazes me how such a massive telescope can be so accurate. What a piece of engineering it is!

Just had my first tattoo. These are the Rosary beads that belonged to my dad, who passed away recently, and are buried with him. Thought it was a fitting tribute.
The crucifix part hurt quite a bit, I ain't going to lie!! But overall was bearable...already planning my next ones.

Managed a 3rd night on my Sadr image. Added an extra 42x300s frames. So have totalled 8hrs 45mins.
Took a bit more time and care this morning (not that I don't take care) after waking up at 4am, for reasons unknown, so have had a few hours of processing and tweaking until I was somewhat happy.
The weather has taken a turn and is now cloudy for a few days (or months) so I apologise, it's my fault, because I received delivery of the Optolong L-Ultimate filter yesterday.

Hello Everyone. I know it's been a while since I've posted anything, but my Dad recently passed away and to say I've not been in a good place, is an understatement. I've lost my dad and best friend. But, I've had people around me keeping me occupied and distracted. Plus it's been an extremely busy and exhausting time as most of you will know firsthand.
I hadn't really been out with the scope at all recently either until this past weekend. I had been saving up for a new mount and finally got to use my new ZWO AM7. It's chalk and cheese compared to my AVX! My real test will be when I come to use my Edge HD8.
Anyway. Here's my image of Sadr and surrounding nebulosity, including the Crescent nebula in a single frame. This was over 2 nights using the following Equipment:
