Earlier this year we filmed this to highlight the very real impact of #pregnancy #babyloss on siblings as part of our perinatal baby loss work. Thank you to @WS_Foundation_ @ThroughFilm_org for making this happen, and to the parents who trusted us with their experiences ♥️
We’ve seen a significant increase in #intrusivethoughts in #NICU families lately. After a wonderful catch up with @Neonatalpsych, I picked up a copy of this book to help shape the work we’re doing with families in the #perinatalperiod . Thank you for the recommendation Rebecca! – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England
Wonderful catch up with the ever inspiring @Neonatalpsych planning this year’s @NICUMHAW theme and a big exciting announcement for later on this year! – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England
Our charity is heading into its final funded year. We are seeking feedback from anyone who has worked with our team to highlight / feedback what would happen if our doors closed at the end of this year to help secure further funds. Please get in touch if you can help! – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England
Is there anything more magical than being able to be in the same space as this much love and attunement? A wonderful morning spent providing support to families in #Durham and getting to be part of this magical moment – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England
Today, Leo turns 9. 9 years since I saw his beautiful face and kissed him forever good night in the NIICU. My team organised coffee and cake to all be together and remember him ♥️
We’ve recently introduced the @BrazeltonUK NBAS into our care. Two of our team, Lottie & Katie are training to be NBAS practitioners. The focus will be on showing families what their baby can do, preventing perinatal illness and aiding early intervention – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England
Wonderful catch up with @mancini_smith today, can’t wait to work together again ♥️ thank you for all you do for families – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England

What does trauma informed perinatal care look like at Leo’s?
Understanding that any previous loss, losses, neonatal care, or wider experiences families have endured, will have a profound effect on how they navigate the #NICU, a current loss, or a new pregnancy. – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England

NEWS: Today I am announcing the launch of a new national inquiry on birth trauma- the first in UK Parliament’s history- to understand how we can better help mums across this country. We will be publishing a report with recommendations to Government👇@DHSCgovuk @mariacaulfield.
We are asking families who have experienced a loss, whether this be a miscarriage, stillbirth, TFMR, or NICU loss, what would be welcome in a self care package?

💙Coping strategies such as breathing techniques to help ease any anxiety Emma was feeling – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England
Offering education around the neonatal unit in case her baby required neonatal care
