It’s been a privilege to watch this young kid turn into the young man I now see before me. My parents joke that I’m getting a preview of fatherhood in my job - and with Alfa I felt that the most. I’ve never been so invested in another human becoming the best version of themselves even if that meant being harsh and firm with him sometimes. But above all, I hold a lot of love in my heart for Emir Ali Beder and I wish him nothing but the absolute best. 🖤🧡

I started this adventure at the age of 16, and now I am 21 years old.
I am not usually a person who can write very emotional messages, but I would like to thank Fnatic for who they helped me become. All the emotions we experienced together, developed me as a human being, as an e-sports player, and added beauty to me in every sense. I have experienced unforgettable moments in my life and each of them will remain special. I would like to thank all the fans who supported us and supported me so far.

It's hard to put into words what these past two years have meant to me, because this was never just about playing VALORANT. It was about the people, the memories, the sacrifices, the late nights, the highs, the lows, and all the moments in between that made this journey so special.
FNATIC became a second home to me. It's where I've grown not only as a player, but as a person. I've shared some of the best moments of my life here, faced some of my toughest challenges, and met people who I'll always be grateful to have crossed paths with.
To my teammates, coaches, staff, and everyone who made me feel at home from day one, thank you. Thank you for the trust, the support, the laughs, and for being part of a chapter I'll look back on with a smile for the rest of my life.
And to everyone who supported me throughout these two years, through the good days and the bad ones, I genuinely can't thank you enough. Your support never went unnoticed, and it meant more to me than words can explain.

I’ve had the privilege of working with nearly 100 players in my career, but few compare to Austin Roberts.
From our very first call in 2024, we both knew that this could be the start of something really great. We saw the game, the team, and what success should look like through the same eyes. What was meant to be a temporary arrangement became one of the best long-term decisions I’ve made as Team Director.
Character, drive, professionalism, openness, and that rare gift of knowing how to be a true friend: Austin has all of it. He is as close to the perfect teammate as you’ll ever find. And he was always down for anything. Fleeing terrifying demons in horror escape rooms, spending far too much money on Pokémon cards, drifting on a boat in the Mediterranean with a cocktail in hand. Wherever we went, he was there, fully present, adding something to every moment that only he could. Austin is someone you can talk to about anything: relationships, family, friends, the team, and all the gloriously dumb stuff too, from anime to geography.
2025 was easily one of the top 3 best years of my life, and he is a huge part of why. Coming to work felt like a joy. Whenever I walked into the practice room, his desk was always my first stop. One of my life's greatest tragedies will be the fact that we never got to life an international trophy together. I think he and we as a team deserved that.
If I have one regret, it’s that we didn’t meet sooner, and that our paths now won’t cross as often. But some people you don’t say goodbye to, only “see you soon.” Austin is and will always be one of my friends, for as long as I can keep him around.

Today, I part ways with FNATIC after a year.
It has been a very turbulent year, but one I've been able to take many lessons from. Lessons that will serve as valuable experience for whatever comes next.
I want to thank everyone at FNATIC for this year, especially @milanfps @OfficialBoaster @performmentally @CoJoPM for trusting me with this job from the start, and for the many days of hard work and challenges we had to overcome together.
Thank you to all my teammates and staff I've worked with throughout the year. It's been amazing to see so many people giving their all every single day to improve themselves and the team. Your work has been inspiring, and it hasn't gone unnoticed.
