Reading poetry with friends like Malcolm Guite and Jerry Root late into the evening while discussing the history of the Christian faith was sublime. @malcolmguite
A very important point re Aslan’s origin as being distinct from nature. It all hinges on this key distinction.

One of the problems I foresee with this film is that it will lose a great deal of theological fidelity and precision.
Aslan is not made of stars, he is the Maker of Stars.
I don’t know if this is intentional but expect much of this sort of thing.

If your entire approach to literature consists of asking who has power and who is oppressed, please step away from the book and don't ever dare to pick one up again.
In your opinion, should scientists at least consider making test tubes meant to contain world-ending biohazards out of something less fragile and slippery than 1mm glass?

Started reading this lovely little edition (published in cooperation with The Charles Williams Society) several years ago. Simon the Clerk is a fascinating character. Can’t now recall why I put it down….

C.S. Lewis explicitly said that Aslan was not an analogy or allegory or symbol but a "supposal".
Suppose the Second Person of the Trinity were incarnate in a different world? What would that story be like.
This is crucial - Aslan is to be treated as an imaginative supposal of Christ. He isn't just a character in a story.
Of course Narnia is not a sacred text, but Aslan is a sacred idea and ought to be treated as such.
