Grateful for getting employment in this country. Grateful for not giving up and super grateful for everyone who helped me along the way.
I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that I can afford to treat my loved ones, I have my own place here and property back home. I have winter and summer clothes, I have inside shoes and outside shoes, I have a fruit bowl in the living room. I have an investment portfolio and have built so many healthy habits.
2016/17 I was on a downward spiral. Everything I was touching was breaking. For so long I believed I was cursed. I’ve written about many of my messed up experiences. But above all that, I’m truly grateful to have lived long enough to see this version of me. 🤲🏾🍲

This was us fr.
You see- millennials were high functioning alcoholics. Cocaine was for Gen X & boomers.
The “stay away from drugs” campaigns worked very well on us. But they didn’t have anti alcohol campaigns. If anything; tv shows made it seem like after work drinks were a MUST and offering someone alcohol at your house is a MUST. But never coke, we raw dogged alcoholism.

When we brought our firstborn home from the hospital about 13 years ago, my wife felt like going for a walk on the beach, which is right by our house. She wanted to stretch her legs, get some sunshine, and help with her recovery.
So I said, "I will lie down and have a nap with the baby, then."
But I was worried about rolling over on him or accidentally hurting him somehow. So I placed him about a foot away from me on the bed and put up a barrier on the other side so he could not roll off.
He immediately, despite being only two days old, wiggled his way over until he was pressed up against me.
I moved him back. He wiggled up against me again.
I moved him back a third time. Once again, he wiggled right up against me.
Finally, I thought, "You know what? If you want to be against me that badly, I am going to let you."
So I positioned him with his head roughly level with my armpit and wrapped my arm around him as a barrier to keep him in place.
He fell asleep almost immediately.
For the first few years of his life, Levi could hardly fall asleep unless he was in physical contact with one of us. Once he was asleep, we could leave, but as long as he was touching us, he would fall asleep almost instantly.
It was never inconvenient because he fell asleep so quickly that we could soon get back to whatever we were doing.
Eventually, it became our little trick. Put Levi in skin-to-skin contact with one of us, and he went right to sleep.

Even if it was an UNO. That’s his money and his car. Don’t be a miserable person man.
I’m not even a fan of his, your tweet is ugly.
