We spoke up, and the Government has listened: a consultation on e-bikes is now open.
But it only covers hire schemes. Illegal private e-bikes and e-scooters are still being left out, and I won’t stop pushing until that changes.

Today we mark 76 years of our fundamental rights being protected by the ECHR.
Why won’t @KemiBadenoch and @Nigel_Farage tell us the truth about what happens to their Brexit and British people’s rights if we follow their advice and leave the convention?
Today marks the 76th anniversary of joining the ECHR.
The Conservatives and Reform want to us to leave. They cannot be trusted to protect our rights.
@mpmwilko explains why.

🧵 This is another hammer blow to families already struggling with living costs.
The unfair mortgage hit awaiting millions has Trump’s name all over it. His reckless Iran war, backed by the Tories and Reform UK, sent energy prices soaring. Now it's pushing up mortgage bills.

The American people are clearly sick of Trump's scandals. I’ve pressed the UK government to assist any and all inquiries the new Democratic Congress may launch.

Joshua Wong has fought tirelessly for the freedoms Hong Kong was promised. His additional 10 year sentence is a betrayal of the Joint Declaration. The UK Government must sanction the officials responsible and stand up for Hong Kongers.

Couldn’t put it better myself.
Brexit has robbed the potential of our economy.
Our country’s opportunities have been weighted down since leaving the European Union.
@AlPinkerton explains how.

An absolute car crash interview from the Secretary of State.
Angela Eagle couldn't spell out a single power these councils will have to stop our waterways being trashed - and there's no sight of the long-promised Water Bill to deliver reform.

I welcome the Government's recent changes to Carer's Allowances.
But they must go further and act faster to end this injustice.

There she goes again - reopening the Brexit debate.
What @KemiBadenoch won’t tell you is that her policy of leaving the ECHR would rip up her party’s Brexit deal.
Is it possible that the Conservatives don’t understand their consequences of their own policy?

The US elections show that right-wing populism can be defeated. We must not let Trump's brand of toxic, divisive politics take root here in the UK.
That is Trump's America, we can't let it become Farage's Britain.

Today finally marks an injustice that has been hard fought by brilliant campaigners like @AndrewofSussex working with MPs like @EdwardJDavey and @JohnMilneLD. Pleased to have played a small part in driving this change.
Following years of campaigning from the Liberal Democrats, the Government has pledged today to introduce legislation ensuring young disabled people can access their Child Trust Fund savings.
A huge campaign win for @JohnMilneLD

For anyone who believes in decency, respect and the rule of law, it feels good to see the American people so comprehensively reject Donald Trump’s politics of hate, division and economic harm.

Donald Trump urged the American voters to imagine he was on the ballot. They did and they rejected him in state after state. This is a crushing defeat.

Today’s US midterms aren’t an isolated event across the Atlantic.
That politics is taking root here with Nigel Farage’s Reform party, stoking anger and division. It is the worst of Trump’s America; we must never let it become Farage’s Britain.

Big news today!
It’s 6 years since I first spoke about Mikey at PMQs – a young disabled man locked out of the money in his own Child Trust Fund.
Now after years of campaigning alongside Mikey’s dad and his MP John Milne, we’ve forced the government to change the law.

Today's deal to cut some of the Brexit red tape is a good step, but it won't fix the problem.
If the Prime Minister is serious about cutting food bills and saving our farmers, he needs to be bolder: scrap Labour's red lines and take us into the single market and a customs union.

Delighted with this news.
A huge tribute to Horsham resident @AndrewofSussex, whose tireless six-year campaign has been instrumental in securing this change.
Thank you to @JakeBenRichards, @LucyRigby and all those who have worked cross-party to end this injustice.
For too long, up to 120,000 disabled people have been unable to access money that is legally theirs.
Today, @LucyRigby and I can announce changes to the Child Trust Fund regime which will correct this injustice, making these funds accessible for parents and guardians of those that lack capacity.
It has been a tortuous process for the campaigners, who have fought hard (met 15 different justice ministers over 6 years!!) and were often met with a wall of 'computer says no'.
Through the hard work of Lucy, @sarahsackman and many others, we have been able to overcome this inertia, and make real progress to offer that bit of help to thousands of families.
But this was a team, and cross-party, effort. Big credit must go to @sarahsmithlab @EdwardJDavey @JohnMilneLD, Baroness Levitt and Baroness Kramer, and many, many others for pursuing this cause for so long.
And, of course, Lord David Blunkett who emailed me about this cause on the first day I received the brief back in the summer, with characteristic determination.
There is more work to do to ensure everyone gets what they deserve, but very pleased to have been part of this important step.
