Law-abiding firearms owners in New South Wales are some of the most responsible, heavily vetted citizens in our community. Yet, year after year, they face an endless cycle of political scapegoating, suffocating bureaucratic red tape, and punitive new restrictions that treat hobbyists, sport shooters, and farmers like criminals. It is time to stop punishing people who respect the law. Real public safety comes from targeting actual violent criminals, not harassing licensed owners with expensive buybacks and burdensome regulations that achieve nothing. We need a government that respects private property, personal responsibility, and the freedom of sport and hunting enthusiasts. Want to stand up for property rights and common sense? Vote Libertarian. Make sure to vote for Gemma Noiosi in March 2027!

Every person has the absolute right to feel safe and secure inside their own home. Yet, under current New South Wales laws, homeowners who protect their families from violent intruders are treated like criminals and dragged through a gruelling prosecution process. It is time to put victims first and criminals on notice. We need to introduce a robust Castle Doctrine so you can defend your home and family without the constant fear of government prosecution. Your home is your castle, and you should never be punished for keeping your loved ones safe. Want safety and common sense? Vote Libertarian. Make sure to vote for Gemma Noiosi in March 2027!

Are speed cameras revenue raising? Speed cameras have been marketed as a way to keep the roads safe, but in reality they seem to be more about revenue raising. The NSW Government will take any opportunity to sting you for more of your hard-earned money. If elected in March 2027, our lead candidate Gemma Noiosi will launch an investigation into Speed Cameras to ensure they are not being misused. Tired of being squeezed by Speed Cameras? Vote Libertarian.

We have a cost of government crisis, not a cost of living crisis. Everything is more expensive these days. Petrol, electricity, groceries, rego - the list goes on. When you break down a lot of the cost, it is inflated by tax or by government fees and charges. The NSW Government takes a lot of your hard-earned cash, but does it spend it wisely? The NSW Government seems to have a department full of overpaid bureaucrats for everything. That is why our lead candidate, Gemma Noiosi, is calling for the cutting of unnecessary government departments, like the Department of Multiculturalism, to ease the burden. Want to cut the cost of government? Vote Libertarian.

Free Speech is under attack. The right to speak freely and openly is the hallmark of any free society. However, in 2026, we do not have that right in NSW. Federal and State laws, including those rushed through after the Bondi Massacre, put limitations on communication. How long until questioning political action becomes “hate speech”? The Libertarian Party believes in the right to free speech. If you elect our Lead Candidate Gemma Noiosi to the NSW Parliament in March 2027, she will introduce a Bill to enshrine Free Speech in the NSW Constitution. Want Free Speech? Vote Libertarian.

Let’s call this out for what it is: pure political panic from Premier Chris Minns. Rushing through emergency legislation to save 400 jobs at the Mount Pleasant mine might look like corporate rescue, but it’s really just desperate damage control to save Labor’s skin in the regions. Minns is trying to play both sides - bowing down to radical green activists on one hand, while scrambling to clean up the mess when those exact policies threaten real livelihoods. Make no mistake, the chaos facing these Hunter Valley workers is entirely a self-inflicted wound born of years of virtue-signalling green energy policies, red tape, and activist lawfare. By prioritising ideological net-zero targets and weaponising emissions regulations, the political establishment has systematically undermined reliable energy and private enterprise. When courts use these flawed frameworks to block lawful expansions, it exposes the fragile reality of government-managed energy markets. Instead of admitting that heavy-handed government intervention and anti-fossil fuel crusades are strangling the economy, Minns is resorting to top-down legislative overreach to bandage a crisis of his own party's making. True freedom and economic security won't be found in emergency government bailouts or arbitrary ministerial decrees. If Labor genuinely cared about workers and families, they would strip away the regulatory shackles, reject activist climate roadblocks, and get out of the way of the free market entirely.

The horrific fatal stabbing of 33-year-old father Joshua Smith in Mount Druitt by a roaming gang is a heart-wrenching reminder of the dangers on our streets. No parent should be hunted down, and no innocent person should be left entirely defenceless. Under current NSW legislation, law-abiding citizens are completely disarmed. Carrying effective, non-lethal self-defence tools like pepper spray remains illegal, leaving everyday people powerless against violent attacks. Criminals naturally ignore weapon bans. The only people these restrictive laws disarm are ordinary, law-abiding Australians who just want to return home safely to their families. The NSW Libertarian Party stands firmly for your fundamental right to personal security. You should have the legal freedom to carry reasonable self-defence items to protect yourself when danger strikes. When seconds count, the police are minutes away. Self-defence is a basic human right, and it is long past time NSW laws reflected that reality.
