On the other side is a story about a young dancer w/a "dream come true". It is an amazing representation of the dichotomy that exists in society.
Flynn lost her unfair dismissal claim in the High Court, Judge Noel Ryan telling her that the nuns had been 'too lenient'

What is interesting about the JDM archive, which contains many newspaper clippings from the 30s to 90s, is that, conincidently, you get to glimpse the other parts of this world in which Joan Denise lived.
JDM again reiterates in her letters her suspicions that the council didn't want the National ballet in Cork & this was simply a way to strip the city of the honour.
JDM's resignation would sound the death knell for the INB in just a few short years.
Here we have Brinson (the writer of the report) giving his side of the story in an article by Carolyn Swift with the Irish Times. He seems to lack understanding as to why JDM took offence to his report.
In May 1985 the newspapers were reporting the resignation and 'offensive' treatment of Joan Denise Moriarty at the hands of the Arts Council of Ireland and Peter Brinson.
Jack Lynch became the president of the Irish National Ballet Trust Fund in an effort to see the Firkin Crane rebuilt after a disastrous fire in 1981. They needed to raise 拢600,0000 on top of funding received for the refurbishment. A fierce task for the former hurler.
Former @OfficialCorkGAA Hurler & former @fiannafailparty Taoiseach Jack Lynch was also a major player in ballet.
(In Cork society, Taoiseach & All Ireland hurlers enjoy similar sway)
Lynch & his wife M谩r铆n were huge fans of dance & were lifelong friends of Joan Denise Moriarty
