Day#67
Hello, everyone❤️
Today marks the 67th day since our bakery opened.
Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve achieved so far:
- We’ve hired two internally displaced persons
- We’ve hired a veteran with a prosthetic limb—our nanny, Vados!
- About 200 children have already visited our children’s room
- We have an incredible trampoline thanks to @slayerofmoskali
- We have a small library and a bookshelf thanks to @slayerofmoskali
- We have partially paid our September rent thanks to @hottaspotta
- We have a blender thanks to @slayerofmoskali
- We’ve baked: sweet pastries (1,867 pieces), baked goods (1,657 pieces), and bread (676 loaves), cookies (508 pieces).
It’s already October, and we really need help purchasing a heating system, since we’re in the basement and don’t have any heating.
The system costs 228,000 UAH (the initial payment to get this heating system installed is 50,000 UAH).
You can:
1. Order your own “Fela” on the “Felas” wall. 100 euros.
2. Order a mug with your nickname and come visit us to drink coffee from it (or we’ll send it to you). The mugs are handmade by a veteran who lost his sight in the war. The cost of one 50 euros.
3. Buy a keychain shaped like our donut. Made of felted wool. Price: 35 euros (we ship anywhere in the world).

Our hearts are fluttering.
Such support - it’s incredible!
Yesterday, the first 100,000 UAH was delivered for the installation of a split-system climate control unit.
The installation will take place on November 10th!

When you are a determined artist even power outages cant stop you.
In ancient Times artists used candles in the dark. Nowadays we use the Düsselflow to help find the canvas.
Duesselflow Power a light. @OlenaYanko draws the next Fella pfp in the Hall of Fame at @tastevictory24.

@tastevictory24 is in need of vital help ... .
After the hot summer we at the Bakery thought: The basement in which we are located is pretty good insulated because it was cool all summer.
Now we have october and it turns out that we cant only heat with the oven when baking bread.
We need an additional heating. Especially for the childrens playroom (Image 4: Left room is Playground. Right room upper right Corner is oven).
@LightyDjan: "It’s already October, and we really need help purchasing a heating system, since we’re in the basement and don’t have any heating.
The system costs 228,000 UAH = 4.500 Euro (the initial payment to get this heating system installed is 50,000 UAH = 1.000 Eur)."
HERE COMES THE DEAL:
You can can help us fund the heating with 4 Options. You decide.
1.) Donate 100 Eur and let your Fella pfp be handpainted in our Hall of Fame (HoF). 100 Eur.
2.) Donate 50 Eur and order a mug with your nickname and come visit us to drink coffee from it (or we’ll send it to you). The mugs are handmade by a veteran who lost his sight in the war. The cost of one 50 Eur.
3.) Donate 35 Eur and buy a keychain shaped like our donut. Made of felted wool. Price: 35 Eur (we ship anywhere in the world).
4.) You just donate, receive nothing (! 😂) in return and 100% goes into the funding of the Heating for the Bakery.
Attention:
Note that option 1.) to 3.) always will be shared between the artists and the Bakery. We support people with this initiative. That's our core.

Whether you contribute financially, share & boost our message, you’re keeping a child warm. No contribution is too small & every action counts. There’s no better way to keep @iamundertow’s memory alive than by protecting 👧👦 $1,400 needed to complete campaign🙏🏻@tastevictory24
Thanks to your kindness, we’ve raised $2k of the $4k needed to secure heat for the children & their sanctuary. My birthday is on Nov. 1 & the only gift I want is to give the children in Kyiv the gift of safety & warmth. Please consider contributing or sharing @tastevictory24

Maybe the universe was trying to warn me about the power and water going out. But compared with everything else happening around us, it feels like such a small thing.
Working by flashlight no longer seems crazy.

Todays conversation with myself:
Absolutely noone: "What did you do for Ukraine today?"
Me: "I build 3 Düsselflows. Worth 3x350€."
Absolutely noone: "What is that?"
Me: "Its basically a DIY Ecoflow with some advantages: You can
- build it your own with little knowledge
- upgrade it
- repair it under field conditions
- throw it around and it still works (dont do that!)
- save a lot of money"
Absolutely noone: "So I can buy all components myself and just put them together?"
Me: "Yes you can. All parts are from Amazon, Ebay or Deutsche Post. In case something is not working later you can just replace that part. If you are unsure: Every Car Mechanic can maintain it if needed."
Absolutely noone: "What can it power? A 1000W heater?"
Me: "Well, thats not the purpose of this energy station. Its there for emergencies. When you want to power neccessary things like a fridge, or a heating mattress. These devices usually need around 60 to 100W. The Duesselflow is able to energise 1000W devices. But personaly I see no sense in doing so. Keep it small I would say."
Absolutely noone: "How much energy is stored in the Dusselflow?"
Me: "Usually one station comes with theoretical 1.280Wh. If you connect a 100W device (like a TV) to it, you can watch 12,8h your favorite movie on Netflix.. Its 1.280Wh : 100W = x hours. Easy math."
Absolutely noone: "What about charging it?"
Me: "Well, THAT point goes to the Ecoflow. The Düsselflow has a 20A charger. That means if you fully empty the station you will need 4 to 5 hours to fully charge it. But: Thats not the purpose of the Duesselflow. Its build to be a plug-in-and-forget buffer. Once you have plugged in your gas heating control (!) you will forget the Dusselflow. Because during a blackout it will automatically jump in. When the power comes back the station loades again. You dont need to press buttons or plug something in.
Absolutely noone: "So why dont people buy this cheaper and simpler solution?"
Me: "Why do people buy a Porsche instead of a VW Golf 5?"
Technical Details:
1.280Wh Energy stored in LiFePO4
1.000W Power (peak 2.000W)
20A Charger
230V AC 12 V DC USB
350€ 15kg

It warms the heart and brings a sense of light. Many people ask what you need.
We’ve decided to gather everything via two links: one for the children’s room, and the other for the bakery.

So.. I will ask for some help. @Jojomeowjojo Lost his Garmin watch. Can anyone chip in some dollars so I can buy him a new one? I will fork up the 1000$ myself if needed, but that will hurt abit. The Dude is cycling around the world for charity. I have no words.
