I can't imagine what they think when they see the bitter life in Eritrea. And they say it is domestic.
It is beyond domestic, guys. It is even hard to give it a name or a level.
We are not talking about something missing within democracy or a failure within the broader administration. But in Eritrea's case, it is different and too far from normal.
Please don't underestimate it โ it is beyond domestic.

The possibility of a political deal involving the Tigray Peopleโs Liberation Front (TPLF) should remind us that alliances between governments are often shaped by strategic interests rather than lasting principles.
The people of Eritrea deserve more than politics driven by the pursuit of power. They deserve constitutional government, justice, accountability, respect for human rights, and leaders who serve the people rather than rule over them indefinitely.
Eritreaโs future must not be determined by secret deals, shifting alliances, or the personal interests of those in power. It must be shaped by the will and aspirations of the Eritrean people.

Today, my heart is overflowing with joy. Yohannes Abraha, a.k.a. John Black, has been released from prison in the Netherlands after spending more than 500 days in detention.
I cannot fully express how happy I am to hear this news. For over two years, we fought on Twitter/X, demanding his release, raising our voices, and refusing to let his case fade into silence. We stood firm in our demand for his freedom.
Whether our collective efforts contributed to this outcome or not, one thing matters most to me today: JOHN IS FREE! And for that, I am genuinely, personally, and overwhelmingly happy.
John, my brother, congratulations on your release. โค๏ธ You have a new chapter ahead of you. Take your time to rest, reflect, and carefully evaluate everything you have been through.
