When leaders can't provide real solutions to their people, they deploy spectacles to keep them entertained. It happened in 1974 when Mobutu Sese Seko, the old time Kasongo organised a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and George Foreman in Kinsasha, Zaire when the citizens of the country could not afford basic needs.
Kenya has parted ways with billions if not hundreds of millions for this spectacle, when Kenyans can hardly have 3 meals a day, when University students are at home because lecturers are not reporting to work after failure by the government to meet their demands, businesses are closing, the cost of living is all time high and unemployment is at its highest.
Kenyans deserve better!

University students who have been home for weeks without studying don't need that education because of the Bayern Vs Ajax match.
Families that are going without meals because of the high cost of living, will now meet their daily demands because Bayern Vs Ajax match.
Kenyans who have closed their businesses because of the obscene levies will now open shops because Bayern Vs Ajax match.
The expected increase in transport due to the obscene increase in fuel prices, will not happen because Bayern Vs Ajax match.
The continued arrest and abduction of Kenyans opposing this administration, will end because Bayern Vs Ajax match.
Enyewe Kenya deserves better. Why not have major announcement to announce the return of University students in school, the reduction of cost of living and such things.
