If you own Mario Superstar Baseball, congrats! You now also own a copy of the song Letters by Hikaru Utada @utadahikaru This 2002 song was just discovered hidden within the files of this game, never noticed for 21 years until now. I guess a Nintendo developer was a big fan

Looks like the AI bros have already lost interest in game modding and have moved onto their next abandonware projects. Now we can finally release Rio updates in peace

🚨Abdul El-Sayed just verbally FLATTENED Donald Trump: “I will go through a metal detector if you will sit for a lie detector. My first question? Epstein. Second question, did you win the 2020 election? I will go through a metal detector every day if you sit through a lie detector one time.”

while we discuss the daily drama that elons algo is dangling in front of us, israel is still carrying out these massacres with the weapons the west sends them every single day. the only people punished so far are those who speak out against these crimes.
🚨Israel burned alive a Palestinian mother in front of her daughter in Gaza last night. RIP Reem Awad

Best argument for term limits I’ve ever heard. “I can’t do my constitutional role of protecting the country because I am afraid I might lose a seat where my job is to protect the country.” It’s kinda disgusting. You swore an oath for God’s sake.
"In his book, Tillis writes that at least 30 Republican senators have expressed reservations about many of Mr. Trump's actions, but usually are only willing to speak up privately, fearing that if POTUS decides to target them, their days will be numbered" cbsnews.com/news/senator-tho…

If 9/11 happened today, these ghouls would be cheering because it happened in a blue city and killed a bunch of liberals.

In the era of vibe coded modding, let it be known i wrote the first Mario Baseball mods in notepad by teaching myself assembly in college

To me, whether it's myself or an AI writing the final code isn't important so long as it's me designing and understanding the code. Some say any AI use = slop, so be it. I wouldn't be able to mod as a hobby while being a full-time medical student without them

Ok that's the end of my thread. Time to get fresh air and stop talking about AI on twitter. Not good for the soul

Haven’t seen a Dem walk this kind of fine line since maybe Obama? And to think, the entire Democratic party was scared to death of him at some point. His success is a testament to how bad the Democratic party establishment is.
Zohran Mamdani reveals: He handed Trump a fake Daily News cover that says “Let’s build” and he got the deal. Also 60,000 Trump voters supported Mamdani. The old headline was “Ford to New York: Drop Dead.” He brought the rewrite. “Trump to New York: Let’s build.” The deal under it is Sunnyside Yard. A rail yard in Queens. A platform over the tracks. 12,000 homes. 30,000 jobs. The most homes in a single project since the early 1970s. He can’t do it alone. Amtrak owns the yard. The feds have to sign off. The money has to come from Washington. So the socialist mayor walks into Gracie Mansion with a mocked-up tabloid. Trump agrees to high-level meetings. About 60,000 New Yorkers who voted for Trump also voted for him.

My long-held opinion that "test anxiety" is fake: confirmed. You're anxious because you don't know the material! The anxiety is called not having studied hard enough!
"no clear relationship between test anxiety and examination performance is found ... There is also no suggestion of meaningful differences across key sub-groups"

This is my perspective. On one hand, modding can be miserable and tedious. On the other hand, the venn diagram of people who can't mod and people with shitty mod ideas is a circle. No one cares you added minecraft to mario 64. make something actually engaging with good design
Those AI vibe coding mods are so dead. You can just tell that not a single speck of effort actually went into them, they're genuinely so unimpressive to me.

Truth is code has been the gatekeeper but design is what actually matters. Some of my original MSSB mods were coded horrendously, but they worked great because they were designed specifically around what people wanted/needed

I'm not even anti-AI, but let's be honest. No one will play these vibe-coded mods because they're not meant to be played. They're made for youtube shorts; to be looked at once and forgoten about. Build slop and i'll call it slop. Build something quality and i'll call it quiality

I'm so excited for the future of Mario Baseball. I really think the whole game/scene can transform entirely for the better by 2027

He kind of got into investing by accident. He landed in merger arbitrage and special situations work, found out he loved it, and in 1988 joined Seth Klarman's famous Baupost Group. He spent a decade there learning deep value investing before striking out on his own.
