One part of the holy trinity has gone, this has cut to the core. Thoughts are with Leslie and all Ricks family at this devastating time. R.I.P. #RickBuckler #Legend

Knew something was up just over a year ago so went to GP. Suspected enlarged prostate after examination (yes, that one). PSA test just exceeded the threshold for further investigation. Confirmatory PSA test two weeks later. Referred by my GP to the local teaching hospital for cautionary purposes. Got hospital appointment pretty quickly. Due to gaps in scanning and surgery schedules I was fortunate enough to get an MRI scan the day after the initial Wednesday appointment and a biopsy on the following Monday. Biopsy indicated early stage cancer. Now on a drugs trial with active monitoring. Interesting thing is the procedural caution. Enlarged prostate was a likely explanation at first. PSA tests were only marginally elevated (around 5 for a bloke in his early sixties is not that high). However, this all led to the further investigation, cancer diagnosis and active monitoring. It really pays to detect early, which is what happened in my case. Prognosis is good. Don’t wait for symptoms. I did but was lucky.

Modern World stayed in the set right from ‘77 to the very end, it was his most searing biographical song in the Jam & was obviously very important to him #TheJam
Filmed for the very first episode of Channel 4's The Tube in 1982, this performance captured The Jam at a remarkable moment in their history. Just days after Paul Weller announced the band would split, they delivered one of their most memorable televised concerts, showcasing the energy and musicianship that had made them one of Britain's defining bands. This remastered edition brings new life to a landmark performance from the final chapter of The Jam.

Don’t do this very often, think the last time was for Ray Wilkins but some people transcend the game & deserve a special mention. Like Ray, Kevin Keegan may not have represented your club but he was a very special player & a great guy. A real legend of the game #RIPKevinKeegan X

Just finished reading this by @steveediggle definitely recommend it. Had to laugh at the story when they first tried champagne & got a taste for Moet which then became the standard rider stipulation, no Moët, no show-ay 😂 @Buzzcocks #Buzzcocks

OTD 20 May 1977 #TheJam released their debut album. How many copies have you got? I’ve the first U.K. edition autographed by all 3, USA version, white vinyl copy and Japanese CD version. Sure they’ll have a 50th anniversary special next year?
