Are people seriously trying to downplay her panicking because she KNOWS the plane is about to crash and they’re about to die??? Are people seriously down playing that???
Everyone commenting on the female pilot communicating with ATC needs to realize there are many situations that can cause panic, regardless of who the pilot is.
The pilot in this video is okay and landed safely. This plane did not go down. The pilot here was flying VFR in IFR conditions and disorientation caused an uncontrolled spin. ATC reminded this pilot of stall recovery procedures and helped him recover and land safely.
I don’t blame him for panicking. I’d be terrified, too.
The Learjet pilots had a totally different situation, and looking at the totality of circumstances available at this time, it seems there was nothing anyone could do.
Facing what could be your final moments while being able to communicate critical information and data to ATC regardless of inflection tone is tragically remarkable.
