A new #folk festival in the making - Somerset's mangelwurzel festival in Edington village hall yesterday. Prizes for biggest girth, best legs, heaviest...and most like Donald Trump. In case you don't know, mangelwurzels are giant root vegetables, mostly used as cattle fodder

Renationalising water companies in the UK would benefit everyone - company managements and shareholders have taken more than enough over the years, at the expense of making necessary infrastructure changes and improvements to water supply. We owe them nothing. – at Glastonbury, England

If Keir Starmer does resign, history will look back on his reign and scratch its head as to why the hell he was so hated. On paper, he's probably delivered more to working British people in such a short time than any PM for decades. After inheriting an absolute mess: NHS waiting lists fallen. Worker's rights improved. Rail operators nationalised. Improved relations with EU and improved UK's global reputation. Removed non-dom tax status. Halved childcare costs. Boosted state pensions. Lowest homicide rate in 50 years. Lifted 550k children out of poverty. Immigration vastly reduced. We are in the age of billionaire funded misinformation, whose sole purpose is to topple democratically elected leaders, and insert leadership that favours the wealthy elites over the working people. Looks like the game plan is working...

I genuinely think there must be a handful of billionaires who find it in their interests to support a president who considers constantly posting stuff like this is reasonable behaviour

Angela Rayner was dragged through every front page for weeks... HMRC's verdict: NOT deliberate. NOT even careless. Farage pockets Β£5 million and chooses not to declare it So where's the wall-to-wall coverage? Tell me this isn't a rigged game.

Has anyone, ever, in the entire history of mobile phones, managed to set fire to a petrol station by mistake while using their phone? (Asking for a friend and obviously not me sneakily posting this at the garage)

If you live in the UK and are voting in council elections today, please don't vote for Reform. Their policies are entirely hate mongering, rascist and ill informed and their leader is an unpleasant, exploitative millionaire pretending to be a man of the people.
