Scott Parker is perfect for what West Ham want, which is instant promotion. His style however, will bore the living daylights out of you. It can best be described as cautious. With individual quality often being key. He is perfect for where West Ham are now.

🚨 West Ham United strike agreement with Scott Parker to succeed Nuno Espírito Santo. Hoped 46yo in place for Cardiff + Mark Noble could join backroom team. Proven track record of PL promotion, multiple #WHUFC PoTY & understands club culture @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7741703…

I knew Newcastle were struggling, but they have looked terrible in the first half & are deservedly 0-1 down. Don’t worry lads, you’ve got us on Saturday. All will be fine

I find it absolutely mad that Frosinone, the tiny part of Italy where my family heritage comes from, are sitting sixth in Serie A, above teams like Juventus & Napoli. A young, fearless side in simply excellent form since winning promotion last season. I did not expect this 😂

*Now on 20 points after beating Torino 2-0 earlier this afternoon as well

Napoli are seeing all of the benefits from appointing Max Allegri.. which are absolutely none. Outdated, archaic, past his sell by date. I am not surprised at all to see Napoli going backwards under his management. Uninspiring style of football. Won’t last much longer #Napoli

That second half yesterday was, in my opinion, the most complete we have looked all season so far. It was borderline comedic how we couldn’t put away our chances & the equaliser summed us up perfectly. A good point in the bag after a poor first half #ffc

WHAT HAVE WE GOT TO DO TO SCORE! #ffc

I’m furious. That is absolutely disgraceful defending. Piss poor. We look disjoined. Lack any punch going forward. Cut wide open so easily. Playground defending. Shambolic #ffc

We are absolutely useless in the final third. Offer absolutely nothing going forward. So so poor #ffc

That away end at The Emirates was class this day. Newly promoted, a great vibe. It was class

I think a wardrobe upfront would be more of a threat than Muniz was tonight. Can Atalanta come back with a £40 million bid? He is absolutely not the answer. I wish all of his fanboys would stop twerking for him. Two strikers, both 💩 #ffc

I do not understand, and never will, this obsession modern day managers have with % of possession, number of passes, final third entries etc. The only stat I care about is the scoreline & how we can score more than the other team. I’m appalled with that tonight #ffc

The Spanish Russell Martin has no plan b. Pass, pass, pass, pass. No shot. Waste chances. Move the ball slowly. Rinse & repeat. It’s not good enough at all. We have not turned a corner. Saturday will be a huge reality check. We are crap #ffc

The lack of goals is a huge concern. Not just tonight, but against Hull, Coventry, Ipswich. It is nowhere near good enough whatsoever & extremely alarming at how toothless we are in front of goal #ffc

Andersen asleep as per usual. If he played as well as he supposedly whinges to the media, he’d be a competent defender. I knew it was coming. Have all the ball. They have once chance & score. Guff #ffc

A great moment for Fulham loanee, Aaron Loupalo- Bi, scoring against Arsenal tonight. Excellent strength & great composure from the young striker #ffc

That video of the United fans absolutely giving it to those cowardly players, who are on the verge of getting another manager sacked, is absolutely superb. Bruno, Martinez & co are a bunch of snakes. Buck passers. Rotten to the core.

Having Tom Cairney to call upon to see out games again has been crucial. His ability to retain the ball, slow the game down & help get us over the line was exactly what we missed at Portman Road. He still has a part to play #ffc
