It was wonderful to spend Rosh Hashanah last week with Missy and Elaine, two lifelong Michiganders who welcomed me into their home and taught me about the sweet and joyous meaning of Rosh Hashanah. We talked about the work we can do together to build a more just and peaceful future for our communities here in Michigan. Shana tova and shavua tov!
One really bizarre things that happens at universities is all the lefty groups including LGBTQ ones team up with MSA to condemn Hillel. Meanwhile Hillel is explicitly LGBTQ affirming and inclusive whereas MSA has conservative views on the subject

I probably would’ve acquitted Lindsay Clancy. I still think people should leave the holdout juror alone.
It *should* be hard to get a unanimous verdict. That’s the point. I don’t want to live in a world where jurors abandon their convictions because they’re bullied out of them.
