I fully understand why David prayed for God to create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him. Sometimes, the greatest battle is not with the people around us but with what is happening inside us. You can have a good heart and still need God to work on your attitude, your thoughts, your reactions and the things you struggle to control.

Father, align us with everything You have prepared for us. May we never force what You have not ordained or miss what You have appointed. Order our steps and make Your will clear.

Galatians 2:20 is a reminder that following Jesus is not about building our own kingdom, but surrendering to His. May the Holy Spirit reveal every hidden form of self in us and teach us to live for God’s glory rather than our own
