If the only studies you accept as valid, are randomized control trials where the control group is unscreened, then your “call” is nonsense. Such a trial would be unethical. There is plenty of research, but your panel ignored or downgraded it.

We all must be active participants in our own cancer prevention and strive for a healthy lifestyle. The free IBIS tool is a great way to begin to assess your cancer risk. Don’t wait until your country’s typical screening age to do this.
🧵Do you know your Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score? It's based on your family history and age you started menstruating / do you have children / have you taken HRT (it DOESN'T include alcohol / lack of exercise / body fatness) Check yours here⬇️ ibis-risk-calculator.magview…

BREAKING NEWS - Scientists have discovered how melanoma cells can shape-shift to spread around the body and metastasise, identifying 2 genes as potential drug targets. @BakalLabICR in collaboration with @imperialcollege developed a new technique to see cells in 3D, to study how cells know where they are and what shape they should change into. Science is amazing and there is hope for everyone affected by cancer icr.ac.uk/news-archive/shape… @ICR_London @CR_UK @CureMelanoma @melanoma_fund @SkinCancerOrg

Understanding your #breastdensity may help lower your risk of late-stage cancer by having additional screening beyond a mammogram. @Volpara stands with @mydensitymatter to raise awareness and educate women about the importance of breast density. Cancer is harder to spot in dense breasts. Ask your provider if more screening is right for you. #DensityTime Learn More 👉volparahealth.com/for-patien…

Thank you @Anwilkinson @JeanSeely @MartinYaffe + others for a 2023 analysis of breast cancer treatment costs. It's up to 11x more costly to treat stage 4 than stage 1. If we can save lives, reduce suffering, AND save $$ by finding cancer early, why aren't we doing it? #40not50

Thanks for breaking down the current evidence. It’s more likely for people to follow reduced or no drinking recommendations if they understand the underlying facts
Did you know there are 3 ways that alcohol causes breast cancer? 1 - Directly damaging cells 2 - Increasing the level of oestrogen (that can stimulate ER+ve cells to grow) 3 - Increasing breast density It DOESN'T mean that alcohol alone caused your breast cancer

Yes! And finding cancer early saves so much suffering. I believe this study follows the first 4 years of treatment so the costs continue to rise.
News: Finding cancer early saves lives AND money. Study shows a cost differential of up to 36 times in magnitude when comparing cost of treatment of late stage vs. early stage breast cancer. #FindItEarlyAct @rosadelauro @DWStweets @RepBrianFitz
