The absolutely brilliant Lloyd Cole, right in my own back yard. 31 lovely tunes.
An evening of bliss.

Manchester, 1980. Punk was fading into the night air, and inside the Russell Club, something new was beginning to pulse — a sound that would shape everything long before anyone had a name for it.
The spark.

On this day 45 years ago, Love Will Tear Us Apart was released. In 2002, @NME named the song as the greatest single of all time, while @RollingStone named it one of the 500 greatest songs ever in 2004, 2010, and 2021.
