Ford today has revealed BlueOval Learning, the workforce development plan for the 60 mile radius around BlueOval City. I sat down with Liliana Ramirez, Ford’s global workforce development whiz to discuss the program in this week’s cover for the Memphis Business Journal.

The brilliant daughter of @MBJMemphis reporter Corey Davis!
What did you do this summer? Our Summer Research Immersion student Emani, a rising senior at Bartlett High School, accomplished a lot! She presented “Pharmacogenomics Testing at St. Jude” at the inaugural Research Immersion Community Exhibition. @cyrineeliana @KateAyers901

State investigation finds ‘no formal process for management of soon-to-expire vaccine doses’ at Shelby County Health Dept. 2,400 expired/trashed since Feb. 3. About 51K doses currently in county’s inventory — 31K more than state expected to be the case. bizjournals.com/memphis/news…

Those 51K doses are not expired, but some will expire beginning March 4. In light of urgency, and the larger mgmt problems discovered, state will no longer be sending doses directly to SC Health Dept. Instead, they’ll go to City of Memphis, hospitals, other usual vacc. providers.
Deep breath. Thread about State of Tennessee vaccination distribution, and how Shelby County seems to be getting significantly fewer doses than it is supposed to:

Instead, when it comes to vaccine distribution, Shelby is ranked one of the last, if not the very last, among Tennessee’s 95 counties. I can’t tell you why, I can only tell you that it is so, based on the state’s own numbers and plan. /end
