Calvin "Megatron" Johnson says Detroit had the talent but "you can’t win a Super Bowl on a budget," and Stafford winning one immediately after leaving proved his point
"But the thing I always say, man, I'm not salty about it at all, 'cause I retired like four years before, a couple years before Stafford left Detroit."
"The biggest thing for me is that, I used to always say, we tell everybody we got the team here in Detroit. We had the dudes, but you can’t win a Super Bowl on a budget, man. You got to go all in."
"That's what you see teams do. They go all in and get that one piece or two pieces that they're missing, to get them all the way there over the last couple seasons."
"We had most of the pieces there in Detroit. And so for me, when he won Super Bowl, literally the first year after he left Detroit, I'm out there like, 'I mean, I told y’all what we had.'"

Haven’t heard a word about any of this on the BBC, NYT, FT etc. Torture blacksites run by neo Nazis. The whistleblower who exposed it being brought up on charges. But of course this is all about defending “democracy”

At 7 years old Tweaky Dave was selling heroin for his father. At 9 his father shot him in the stomach and walked away. At 10 he was doing prostitution on Hollywood streets to survive. By 19 he was a heroin addict dying of leukemia and refusing treatment. He died shortly after this interview. Twenty years later his jacket became the center of a fashion controversy involving Kanye West.
He sat on the Jerry Springer Show and told this story like it happened to someone else.
In the video below, Dave walks through a childhood that most people couldn't survive a single week of - and Jerry Springer sits across from him visibly struggling to process what he's hearing.
Dave said he started selling dope for his dad at 7. Said it was the family business. Said he didn't see anything wrong with it at the time.
Then at 9 he kicked open the wrong door. His father was bagging dope with customers in the room. Next thing Dave knew he was on the floor bleeding. His father walked away.
The hooker next door called an ambulance.
Dave ran to Hollywood to become a rock star. Was 9 years old.
The system put him in placements. He ran. They locked him up. He ran again. Trusted nobody. Said cops treated runaways like criminals. Started prostitution at 10 because it was the only way to eat.
Stopped at 16 after watching two friends die of AIDS.
Found a dismembered body in a Beverly Hills dumpster one night. Said it happens all the time.
Asked what keeps him going he said: the 8-year-olds he meets on the street. He doesn't want them to go through ten years of what he went through.
He didn't get much longer to help them.
Is Tweaky Dave a cautionary tale about what happens when every system fails a child, or proof that some people find a reason to keep going no matter what?

Dayton, Minnesota voted 5 to 0 to cancel its Flock contract.
August 25.
Three weeks later Flock generated a maintenance work order.
The city replied the next day. Program is on hold. No work orders.
Flock reinstalled two cameras anyway.
And put them in service.
The city found out because residents noticed cameras back on the poles.
Flock took five days to even acknowledge the cancellation.
Then said removing the equipment would take 60 days.
Installing them took a work order.
Removing them takes two months.
Plymouth had the same problem.
Flock ignored the cancellation notice for almost two weeks.
So the police chief walked over and unplugged the cameras himself.
Crystal's police chief removed the cameras and the poles personally.
They're sitting in a police garage now.
Waiting for Flock to pick them up.
Like a vendor who dropped off a couch and never came back for it.
Flock's statement says they respect the cities' decisions.
And they're working to have the cameras removed.
Reports can't say if Flock ignored the order or if the message just never reached the install team.
Which is somehow the better version.
Either the company defied the city.
Or the company doesn't know which of its own customers cancelled.
Their CEO says the backlash isn't real.
Five Minnesota cities just voted it into existence.
And the cameras kept coming back like a bad subscription.

I think Scottie agrees (re: the officiating)
“I think being that aggressive and only shooting 3 free throws is kinda crazy. It just wasn’t going our way. It is what it is… It’s tough out there… I think that’s enough for me to say. I’m raging on the inside.”

Never forget this video of Lyor justifying his exploitation of black violence and drug addiction as “having a family to feed too”. He has killed the career of anybody who showed any sympathy for Palestinians. The music industry is filled with leeches like this who exploited black suffering to make 9-10 figures. The man who invented the ultra exploitative 360 deal is the son of Israeli spies. Dame called all of this out when I was a kid.
As the head of global music at Youtube, he is the filter for what gets pushed onto playlists and what should go to die. Just like the other expose on UMG, the imperialists are controlling what is pushed to your ears at every level. Palestinians had families to feed too but he has used his power and wealth to further their oppression. This is how easily global struggles are intertwined without you knowing it
🔴 New Investigation: The son of an Israeli secret agent, Lyor Cohen is the most important man in hip hop having owned Def Jam music & Roc-A-Fella managing some of the most famous rappers & singers. With inordinate influence over the genre, he has made his views on Israel/Palestine clear, and has used his influence to stamp out what he sees as anti-semitism in the industry.
He is now head of YouTube Music, and is working with the U.S. State Department on a new program directly modeled on the CIA’s successful Cold War-era attempts to use American artists to help force through color revolutions in targeted countries.

Toronto probably doesn’t care now who Bradford really is, but now that Olivia has been re-elected and they can breathe easier, it might be a good time to take a deeper dive into who Bradford is connected to so they better understand the huge far right bullet they just dodged.
